GOVERNOR NEIL ABERCROMBIE STOPS IN

Hawai‘i Governor Neil Abercrombie stopped by The Shops at Wailea last month to participate in blessing and grand opening festivities for The Art of Peter Max Gallery – and also to grab a quick cone from Lappert’s.

Governor Abercrombie was presented with an origi-nal painting (20”x16” acrylic on paper) of the Hawai‘i state flag by renowned artist Peter Max titled “Flag of Hawai‘i.” The dedication on the back of the painting reads, “To Governor Abercrombie and the beautiful state of Hawai‘i. Aloha! Love, Max 2012.”

The painting is on display at the gallery for a limited time before being sent to the governor’s office on O‘ahu.
