Brief Description of Undergraduate Courses Taught: (Course Title – Code: Description) 1 0668 501: This is a 6-‐credit hours course that extends over a 6-‐week period. The course is given to 5th year

medical students for 6 rotations per year. The course objectives are to teach medical students the basic and main clinical disorders in Psychiatry, their diagnosis and management.

2 Psychiatry for nurses: Two credit hours course that extend over one semester. The course is given to third year nursing student (B. Sc. Level) with the fundamental knowledge of psychiatry. This includes the main psychiatric disorders in terms of etiologies, clinical manifestations and the main treatment modalities including drugs and other therapeutic procedures

Brief Description of Postgraduate Courses Taught: (Course Title – Code: Description) 1 KFU Fellowship in Psychiatry: The postgraduate activity includes morning reports, resident seminars, and

tutorials. Furthermore, the commencement of the KFU Fellowship program in Psychiatry attracted many applicants from various parts of the Kingdom. The program is 4-‐year residency training totaling of 100 credit hours. Each year of the program is 48 weeks and entitled for 4 weeks vacation. To date, 26 fellows graduated from the program and are serving in various institutions in the Kingdom.

2 Saudi Board of Psychiatry: This is a 4-‐year residency training program to MBBS holder who is entitled to be enrolled in the Saudi Board of Psychiatry. The general objective is to provide professional and educational environment that will promote a high standard of psychiatric health care delivery.
