The efficient solution for internal profiles and threads

Using an innovative and Leistritz exclusively developed drive system to move the cutting tool both axially and rotationally within the bore, to produce a cutting path which is normal to the helix angle of the thread or profile to cut. Combined with a totally new tool system, the internal whirling machine LWN 120 IW is able to produce threads and other special helical profiles to finish quality in hard or soft materials in a single process. Especially suited for large length/diameter ratios, this system does not require the cutting spindle to be tilted which allows it to be as large as possible for maximum rigidity.
