The Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) comprises the following functions:

• EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) – Prevents the rear wheels from locking before the front wheels. • ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) – Helps to prevent the wheels from locking. • ASR (Acceleration Skid control) – Regulates wheel spin by intervening in the engine management and by braking the driving wheels. • BAS (Brake Assist) – Instantly applies all available power boost to reduce stopping distance in emergencies. • ROM (Roll Over Mitigation) – Detects rollover tendencies during maneuvers with low road speed and high lateral acceleration. • RMI (Roll Movement Intervention) – Detects rollover tendencies in dynamic and high-speed evasive maneuvers with high lateral acceleration. • LAC (Load Adaptive Control) – Determines the gross vehicle weight and supports the ESP function. • EUC (Enhanced Understeering Control) – Stabilizes the van during heavy understeer.
