Department of Kinesiology LOCATION Whether you're seeking a career in professional, collegiate, or another area of sport, Fresno State's Sport Administration program is the ideal place to study. Our central location allows our students access to hundreds of sport teams, organizations, facilities, venues, and internships. Located in the heart of California, our Sport Administration students are in close proximity to numerous professional, intercollegiate, and amateur sport teams and organizations and only a short drive to some of the the leading sport venues & entertainment events in the world. Fresno County is also home to some of the world's most sought-after recreation and entertainment destinations. Each year millions of people come to the Fresno area to explore breathtaking scenary, spectacular canyons, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, and hiking trails in the Sierra Nevada Mountains & the Yosemite, Sequoia, & Kings Canyon National Parks. Our students can enjoy just about any outdoor activity imaginable, such as whitewater rafting, moutain biking, jet skiing, golf, or snow boarding just to name a few. And if you enjoy concerts, located on campus is the Save Mart Center, considered one of the premier concert and event centers on the West Coast. program is one of the premier programs in California. Our primary
goal is to help you achieve yours! Our students receive specialized
training in sport administration, learn from top faculty members
and researchers, and get hands-on experience in Fresno’s vibrant
athletic community. ABOUT THE PROGRAM Offered by the Department of
Kinsieology atCalifornia State University, Fresno, our programleads
to a Master of Arts degree in Kinesiology: Sport Administration
Specialization. Our program consists of 30 credit units and
combines a foundation of Sport Administration courses with
practical work experiences. Each of our innovative classes is
designed to give you both the knowledge and skills to advance your
career in sport. SPORT INTERNSHIPS At Fresno State, we believe that
you learn by doing. That’s why we encourage our students to take
internships and count up to six credit unitstoward your Master’s
degree. There are hundreds of internship possibilities in the
Fresno area. Weare home to professional teams in football,
soccer,basketball, and hockey, as well as numerous amateur sport
teams and organizations. COST & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Fresno
State's Sport Administration program is one of the most affordable
graduate programs inthe country. We also offer funding to help you
pursue your Master's degree, including graduate assistantships,
university scholarships, and finacial aid.
