Strand for SR-01& LR-01

• Plan A if both SR and LR are to be made from same type of conducgtor

• Billet 8220 with a 54/61 stack:– Billet 8220 Properties for HT at 650C for 48h

• Jc ~3,000A/mm2 at 12T, 4.2K• Is ~1150A • RRR>170

– TQ-type cable made with RRP • Extracted strands being HT at BNL

– HT is 635C for 48h and 96h

• Once stability of extracted strand is known make decision about billet configurations

Strand for SR-01& LR-01 cont.

• Plan B if SR and LR can be made from different types of conductor

• Use 84/91stack for SR-01 if it meets LARPS criteria of RRR and Is. – Since Oxford is having processing issues with the

84/91 • LR-01 made not be made from the same material

Cabling Tasks for FY-05

• Proto-type cable for TQ to establish TQ cable parameters– 26, 27, 28 Strands

– Keystone Angles of 1.0 and 1.3 degrees

• Cable for TQ magnets – Practice: 3 UL + 3 UL extra (2 UL remain at FNAL)

– Production: 10+ UL

• Cable for SQ-02
