Title: My Clay Human Figure

Materials Needed:

Old newspaper to cover your work area.

Modeling clay in different colors

A piece of hard cardboard or illustration board.

Toothpick

Plastic knife or fork (ask your parents or any adults to help you in handling the knife or fork)

What You Will Do:

1. Lay the sheet of old newspaper on flat surface (table)

2. Choose the colors of modeling clay you want to use for your human figure.

3. Roll a piece of modeling clay between your palms until you form a log for the body.

4. Form another small piece of clay for the head, and two smaller circles for the eyes and two more for

the eyeballs.

5. Roll the bigger piece of clay into a log-like cylinder. Slightly flatten it.

6. Cut a slit in each side of the log with a plastic knife. The upper two pieces are the arms, and the lower

two are the legs.

7. Bend the two end of each leg to make the feet.

8. Put the two smaller circle for the eye and add the two smaller circle for the eyeballs.

9. Attached the head to the body.

10. And lastly smoothen the sides and make sure that the parts are well-attached.

11. Add some details on the face.

12. Place the human clay figure on a hard cardboard or illustration and let it dry.

Procedure:

1. Cut out a cloud shape on a bond paper.

2. Write your name in a cut-out cloud.

3. Cut out colored strips of paper.

4. Write an adjective that describes you on each strip of colored paper.

5. Paste the strip of paper to the cloud.
