CaMpaign MODE InCampaignmode,youhavetwochoices:youcanbattlegangbossesbyyourself,oryoucandoubleyoureffectivenessbyenlistingthehelpofotherAgentsviasystemlinkorXboxLive®(aharddriveisrequiredforco-opplay).

YoursingularfocusinCampaignmodeisontrackingdownandeliminatingthe 21 gang bosses who control the streets of Pacific City. The higher they are inthegang’shierarchy,thebetter.Pleasenote,however,thatthegangitselfwon’tcollapsecompletelyuntilyoueliminateitskingpin,itsgenerals,andallofitsgangmembers.

TheAgencymaintainsdossiers—detailedrecordsontheknownassociates,activities, and frequented hangouts—for all 21 key gang figures. These dossiersareavailabletoyouatalltimesviatheAgency Infomenu.

Whenanyofthe21gangleadersareincloseproximity,theTrackeronyourHUDwillalsodirectyoutohis/herphysicallocation.

TiME TriaLsEachtimeyoulocateoneofthe21gangbosses,youunlockanewTime Trialsmissionthatchallengesyoutobeatyourbesttimeintakingdownthatparticulargangboss.

ATime Trialsmissionislikeasteel-cagedeathmatch—thegangboss’physicallocationistransformedintoanenclosedarena,andit’suptoyoutobattleyourwaythroughthearmedguardsandprotectorstoeliminatethegangbossanddoitevenfasterthanyoudidbefore.

WhenplayingaTime TrialsmissioninCo-opmode,aharddriveisnotrequiredforyouoryourpartner.

Difficulty­­­­­­levelsInbothCampaignmodeandTime Trials,youcancontrolhowchallengingyourassignmentwillbebychoosingone of three difficulty levels—Tough,Ruthless,andPsychotic. The difficulty levelyouchoosedeterminesthetoughnessofthegangmembersyou’regoingafter.

ItisstronglyadvisedthatrookieAgentsstickwiththeToughskillleveluntiltheyhavedevelopedanintimateknowledgeof Pacific City and its crime lords.

agEnCy suppLy pOinTs Agency Supply Points are strategically positioned throughout Pacific City and provideacrucialandconvenientmeansofreplenishingyourammosuppliesandhealth.Youcanalsousethemasshortcutsaroundthecity.

Agency Supply Points are camouflaged to blend into their surroundings. Whenyougetinthevicinityofone,itspresenceisrevealedbyamarker,anorangebeamoflightthatisdisplayedonyourHUD.YoucanalsousetheMap,availableviatheAgency Infomenu,tolocateactiveSupplyPoints.

Yourgang-bustingassignmentbeginsintheheartofTheAgency’sstronghold,TheKeep,whichisbothanAgencySupplyPointandthehomeofTheAgencyGarage,whereyoucanpickuponeofthreeAgencyvehicles,allofwhicharecapableofdramatictransformation.

AsarookieAgent,youshouldfocusimmediatelyonlocatingandclaimingadditionalAgencySupplyPoints,so you can use them for their main benefit—instant travelbetweenSupplyPoints.

Also, when you confiscate weapons or explosives from gangmembers,youcanaddthoseitemstoyourpersonalarmorybytakingthembacktoanAgencySupply Point. After you’ve stored a confiscated weapon inoneSupplyPoint,youcanthenpickitupfromanyunlockedSupplyPoint.

vEhiCLEs AsarookieAgent,yourbasicdrivingskillsaresuchthatyouarecapableofaccessingandinstantlyfamiliarizingyourselfwithanyvehicleyouencounter,whetherit’sacivilian,gang,orAgencyvehicle.Justjumpin,andputthepedaltothemetal.

As your Driving skill rating improves, you’ll find your reaction times are faster andyou’renaturallymoreintunewithanyvehicleyoudrive.TheproofofyourdrivingskillsevolutionismostevidentwhenyouclimbbehindthewheelofAgencyvehicles,whichtransforminsynchwithyourdevelopingskills.

Withyourdrivingabilitiesattheirpeak,you’llbecapableofextractingthemaximumperformancefromanyvehicle,whetheryou’reontheroadorintheair,andyoureffectonAgencyvehicleswillbenothingshortofphenomenal.

prECisiOn TargETingTheAgency’spowerfulrecognitionandtargetingsystem,whichisbuiltintoyourHUD,allowsyoutoacquirealockonatargetandmaintainthatlockevenasyouaremovingaround.

Thetargetingsystemisdesignedtoautomaticallyhighlightvulnerablepointsonalockedtarget,whichmakesprecisiontargetingmoreconvenient.

Acar’sgascapandtiresarehighlighted,forexample,whenyoulockontoavehicletarget,andtheheads,arms,andlegsofhumantargetsarehighlightedwhenyou’retargetinggangmembers.Asyouwilldiscover,differentprecision-targetingpointshavedifferenteffectsonthetargetasawhole.Youcanshootanarmedtarget’sarm,forexample,toremoveanyweaponinhand(andthenpickitupandaddittoyourpersonalarsenal).

WhentheaimingreticuleinyourHUDturnsred,youcanacquirealockonatarget.Usetherightsticktoaimandselectatarget,andthenpullthelefttriggertolockontothetarget.Thelongeryoumaintainthetargetlock,thegreatertheaccuracyandeffectivenessofyourshotwhentaken.Youcanalsousetargetlocktoincreaseyouraccuracywhenthrowinggrenades,deadbodies,disabledvehicles,orotherobjects.

CrOuChing & juMpingCrouching has several benefits: it can help you find cover behind smaller objects,anditcanalsohelpsteadyyouraim.Toswitchbetweencrouchingandstanding,clicktheleftstick.

TheAgencyalsohighlyrecommendsthatyoutakethetimetoperfectyourjumpingskills.Awell-timedleapcanbeaneffectivemeansofavoidingharm.Itcanalsohelpyoubridgethegapsbetweenbuildingrooftopsmoreeasily.Tojump,pressandholdAorclicktherightstick.

hiT squaDsWhenyouractionsasanAgentstartunderminingtheeffectivenessofgangoperations,thegangkingpinswilldeployHitSquadstoaggressivelytrackyoudownandtakeyouout.

If,ontheotherhand,anAgentmalfunctionsandstartskillinginnocentcivilians and Agency Peacekeepers, the Agent will be flagged as rogue and hunteddownbyallavailableAgencyEnforcersinthearea.
