We originally purchased Keepers
Cottage for the wonderful field views and
close proximity to Bury St Edmunds. We
will most definitely miss being in these
beautiful surroundings, the garden, and
all the countryside walks. The reading
room is one of our favourite rooms, and
also the snug, with the wood burner
which makes winter evenings warm and
cosy. Since purchasing the property we
have done quite a lot of improvements,
including a new bathroom, and opening
up the kitchen which has provided us
with a fantastic space to cook and
entertain in. It is a super family home in
such a great location, with easy access to
the A14 and the fantastic market town
of Bury S Edmunds.
Step Inside
This home offers a wealth of family accommodation. You know you are in for a
special treat as soon as you step through the door and see the exposed
woodwork, and character features. The kitchen has been opened up by the
current owners to provide a large space for family and friends to enjoy. The
kitchen is accessed by a stable door, and has a good selection of base units; a
breakfast bar with storage beneath; a dining area, and a separate utility with
spaces for appliances. The reception rooms are delightful, including the snug with
a wood burner for those chilly evenings, and the sitting room with a wealth of
charm and a splendid open fire. For those of you working from home, or
studying, there is an office on the ground floor with French doors to the outside

Keepers Cottage is positioned on a large plot, in a quiet location, with field views,
and surrounded by the Suffolk countryside. The property is approached via a
driveway providing ample parking. To the side there is a detached double garage
which has a vast loft area that could be converted by the new owner (subject to
planning). With mature planting, trees, and borders, the grounds are simply
wonderful. There is a paved terrace area for outdoor dining and entertaining, and
an expanse of garden for the children to burn off their energy. Situated in the

Location East Barton is on the edge of Great
Barton, which is a sought after village
just a short drive from the market town
of Bury St Edmunds. The village is well
served and includes a pub, shops, petrol
station, a village hall with many events
and club meetings, plus a village school.

shopping, an award-winning market, plus
a variety of cultural attractions and fine
