    SCOPE OF WORK

    1.0 The scope of work shall cover supply, installation, testing and

    commissioning of the Sanitation & Plumbing System covering the

    following:

    j) External Sewerage System with Inspection Chambers, Manholes,Gully Traps chambers, S W Pipe, etc. complete in dug or prepared

    trenches.

    k) External Storm water System with Storm water Channels, InspectionChambers, Manholes, Water Entrance Chambers, RC NP 2 Pipe etc.complete in dug or prepared trenches.

    l) External water Supply for Landscaping System with Valve Chambers,G I C Class Pipe, Garden water Points along with water Irrigation

    system etc. complete.

    m) Municipal Water Main/ Bore well pump del. to U G Tank with WaterMeter Chamber and G I C Class Pipe, bore well with submersible

    pump, Auto control panel for pump etc complete as per requirement of

    local municipal authority

    j) Rain Water Harvesting System With Soil Hydro geological Survey,

    Short Bores, Pressure Well / Ring Well, Filtration chamber, Bore welletc complete as per requirement of local municipal authority.

    k) O H Tank feed pumps, (one working + one stand by Pump) controlvalves, non return valves, Strainer, Foot valve and all other specials, &

    Control Panel with Pump automation cabling from U G Tank to O H

    Tank along with probe switches for Auto control of Pumps, etc

    complete as directed.

    l) Totally submersible Sump pumps at U G Tank Pump room area with

    High and Low Automation Probes for Auto on off system includingchangeover facilities control panel for pump etc complete

    m) Septic Tanks with Soak Pit, With Necessary Vent Pipes, Manholecovers etc complete as per requirement of local municipal authority

    n) Internal Water supply system (Flushing and Domestic water Lines ) asper local municipal requirements & as shown in drawings.

    o) Internal Sewer Drain lines (Soil, Waste, Vent & Antisyphonage Pipes)In C I Pipes with Lead Caulked Joints

    p) Roof Drain lines (C I Pipes with Lead Caulked Joints )

    j) Pump Room Drainage with Sump Pumps and control panels.

    k) Inserts, flanges, dead end plates/ control valves & Pipe Sleeves For allwater Tanks

    n) Sanitary Fixtures and C P Fittings as approved by Engineer-in

    charge.

    o) All necessary Approvals & NOC from concern local Municipal

    Authorities including getting the Water, sewerage & storm water

    connections.

    p) Making detail working drawings of the complete system/s,

    coordination with other services drawing and get these shop drawings

    approved by Engineer-in charge.

    SPECIFICATIONS FOR PLUMBING DRAINAGE AND WATER SUPPLY WORKS

    1.1.1 Contractor shall study the site conditions before tendering and shallsatisfy himself before submitting his Tender as to the nature of theground and subsoil, form and nature of the site, the hydrological,climatic and physical conditions at the site, the quantities and natureof work and materials necessary for the completion of the work andmeans of access to the site, the proneness of site to floods as also thehighest flood levels, recorded, observe or found in the past, as alsoaccommodation required by him, and, in general, shall himself obtainall necessary information as to the risks, contingencies, and othercircumstances which may influence or affect his tender.

    1.2 References -

    1.2.1 References to standards, code, specifications, recommendations shall

    mean the latest edition of such publications adopted and published atdate of invitation to submit proposals.

    1.2.2 The work in general shall be executed in accordance withCPWD Specifications and as per the approved drawings forservices

    1.3 Drawings and Literature -

    1.3.1 Before proceeding with the work, the contractor shall submit forapproval general layout and working drawings as are necessary todemonstrate fully that all parts of the materials to be furnished willconform to the specifications.

    1.3.2 Within 30 days of the acceptance of the tender the contractor shallfurnish three (3) prints of layout, assembly and erection drawings forapproval. If any modifications are proposed by the owner / Consultant,six (6) further prints of the modified drawings shall be submitted. Nomodifications shall made in drawing after it has been approved by theConsultant/Owner without prior consent.

    1.3.3 Approval by the owner/Consultant of the drawings shall not relievethe contractor of any part of his obligation to meet all the requirements

    of the Contract or of the correctness of his drawings. The contractorshall be responsible for and pay for all alterations of the works due todiscrepancies or omissions in the drawings or other particularssupplied by him, whether such drawings have been approved or not.

    1.3.4 After execution of works, contractor shall furnish a set of originaltracings of as-built drawings incorporating the modifications if anyduring execution.

    1.4 Inspection and Testing at Contractor's premises -

    1.4.1 Owner or its authorised representative shall have full power to inspect

    drawings of any portion of the work or examine the materials andworkmanship of the plant at contractor's works or at any places from

    which the material is obtained. Acceptance of any material shall in noway relieve the contractor of his responsibility for meeting therequirements of the specifications. The cost of any special tests and/oranalysis not called for in this specification shall be borne by the ownerin case the material proves satisfactory but shall have to be paid bythe contractor in case the material or work is found defective or ofinferior quality.

    1.5 Material Availability

    1.5.1 The successful contractor shall ensure that all materials areprocessed well in advance to avoid any delay in completion of theproject. They will intimate in writing to the consultant in the daily reportproforma.

    1.5.2 In case of non-availability of any particular material the contractor shallprocure next best available material and install the same at no extra

    cost to the Owner after written approval of the clients through theconsultant.

    2.0 BASIS OF TENDERING

    2.1 The tender shall be complete covering the entire work of plumbingsystem and ancillary services including all building system and outsideutilities as shown and specified.

    2.2 The contractor shall consult specification, drawings and schedule ofquantities which give an idea on these system.

    3.0 DRAWING

    3.1 The drawings accompanying these specifications are design drawingsand generally are schematic. They do not show every off-set, T's,cross, Y's, Junctions coupling/flanges etc. which are required forinstallation in the space provided. The contractor shall show thedrawings, as closely as is practicable and install additional bends,elbows or junctions, etc. where required to suit local site conditions,from actual site measurement taken, subject to approval and withoutadditional cost of the Owner. The consultant reserves the right tomake any reasonable change in outlet location prior to roughing in. Allconnections and appurtenances, shown in the various diagrams, shall

    be included in the finished job.

    3.2 It shall be the contractor's responsibility to coordinate with all others,for proper and adequate installation clearances.

    4.0 ORDINANCE, CODE AND REGULATIONS

    4.1 It shall be the contractor's responsibility to provide completesystem, as indicated and as required by applicable code. Allclarifications, which have to be cleared with appropriate authoritiesshall be carried out without additional cost, to owner. Unless otherwiseapproved, the product shall bear the mark of approval of I S, asrequired, by the governing bodies, code and ordinances and local

    authorities whose permission are required for occupation of thebuilding on completion.

    5.0 SHOP DRAWINGS

    5.1 The contract drawings shall serve as working drawings for generallayout of the piping and various items of equipment. The contractorshall prepare and submit for approval, detailed shop drawings of allitems, not detailed on the drawings, setting drawings, clearancedrawings where required, for proper coordination and all changes tothe drawings. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to see that alldeviations from drawings and specifications, noted on the drawingsand brought to the attention of the consultants, otherwise approvalshall be automatically voided.
