Clark Hunt has been involved in the leadership ofthe Kansas City Chiefs for more than a decade andcurrently serves as the club’s chairman and CEO.

In January 2013, Hunt ushered in a new era ofChiefs leadership, hiring Head Coach Andy Reid on Jan. 7,and General Manager John Dorsey a week later on Jan.14. Hunt also modified the leadership structure of theorganization, announcing that for the first time in clubhistory, the head coach, the general manager and theteam president would all report directly to the chairmanand CEO.

"I am very excited for the future of Chiefs footballunder Andy, John and President Mark Donovan," Huntsaid upon hiring Reid and Dorsey. "I truly believe we havethe best leaders in place to guide this franchise to manysuccessful seasons."

In the club’s first two seasons with Hunt’s newleadership team at the helm, the Chiefs won more gamesin their first two years (20) than any other new regime inthat amount of time in franchise history. Off the field, theChiefs have made significant strides developing fanexperience, utilizing new technologies and innovativeideas.

In 2013, Hunt and the Chiefs enjoyed a record-setting resurgence under the direction of Reid and Dorseyen route to a return to the NFL postseason. Kansas Cityset a franchise record for the best single-seasonturnaround in the organization’s 55-year history as theteam finished with an 11-5 record — a nine-winimprovement over the 2012 season.

Following the dramatic turnaround in 2013, Huntwas named the 2014 Waddell & Reed Executive of theYear by the Kansas City Sports Commission for hisoutstanding leadership in the Kansas City sportscommunity.

Hunt’s proven business acumen, coupled with twodecades of experience working side-by-side with hisfather, American sports pioneer and Chiefs FounderLamar Hunt, helped shape his vision for the storiedfranchise.

"Our fans are the foundation of the Chiefs. Our goalis to provide them with a team that can consistently

compete for championships and the best gamedayexperience in the National Football League," Hunt said.

To meet that goal, Hunt and his family committed$125 million to the renovation of Arrowhead Stadium —an extensive modernization project that will keep KansasCity "The Home of the Chiefs" for decades to come. The$375-million renovation provides Chiefs fans with thefirst-class amenities of the finest sports venues in theworld while maintaining the distinct soul and mystiquethat makes Arrowhead one of the most iconic stadiums inthe NFL.

In addition to the on-field turnaround, Hunt is alsofocused on improving the gameday experience for Chiefsfans. In 2013, the Chiefs installed a new stadium-wide Wi-Fi network and launched the Chiefs Mobile application,enabling fans to connect to their team and to each otherin new, unique ways.

Over the last several years, Hunt has emerged as aleading voice among NFL owners. Hunt was one of 10 NFLowners charged by Commissioner Roger Goodell withnegotiating the NFL’s new Collective BargainingAgreement which was completed in 2011. Goodellpraised Hunt’s ability to find creative compromisesthroughout the process and for his leadership in thenegotiations.

"[Clark] had a critical role in getting [the]agreement completed and getting us back to football,"Commissioner Goodell said in August 2011. "He is verycredible, very smart and has a very strong ability to listenand find solutions. He was very effective with both sides.The players clearly expressed that to me, and the ownershave expressed that to me. He has, obviously, not onlymy respect but, obviously, the respect of everyoneinvolved in the negotiations."

In 2006, Hunt was asked to serve on the eight-member Commissioner Search Committee whichrecommended Goodell as the successor to then-Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. In 2007, CommissionerGoodell appointed Hunt to the NFL’s Digital Media andInternational Committees, as well as the Executive

Committee of the NFL Management Council. In 2011,Hunt was named Chairman of the

International Committee and joined the league’sFinance Committee.

As Chairman of the International Committee, Hunthas played a key role in expanding the league’sInternational Series and the NFL’s footprint overseas. Theleague has hosted a regular-season contest in London’siconic Wembley Stadium since 2007. In response to theoverwhelming demand from NFL fans in the UnitedKingdom, the league expanded the International Series tofeature two games in 2013 and three games beginning inthe 2014 season. The league will again host three gamesin London in 2015, with the Chiefs announcing that theywill take on the Detroit Lions on Nov. 1, 2015 as part ofthe overseas initiative. At the conclusion of the 2015season, 20 teams will have played a total of 14 Londoncontests.

In addition to his work at the league level, Hunt andhis family continue to innovate and invest in new ways toreach fans. In 2013, after more than a year indevelopment, the Hunt family debuted the first phase ofthe Arrowhead Art Collection, highlighting regionalartwork while promoting culture, providing educationalopportunities and engaging the community in a way thattouches individuals of all ages and walks of life. In total,more than 25 pieces of art have been installed atArrowhead Stadium, combining two parts of the culturalpieces of Kansas City — sports and the arts — inside aregional architectural masterpiece in its own right,Arrowhead Stadium.

The Dallas, Texas, native is also a foundinginvestor-operator in Major League Soccer. Hunt serves asChairman of Hunt Sports Group and FC Dallas. Hunt andhis family were instrumental in bringing professionalsoccer to Kansas City, founding a charter franchise, theKansas City Wizards, later renamed Sporting Kansas City.Hunt Sports Group sold the Kansas City franchise to localinvestors in 2006. In 2013, Hunt Sports Group sold theoperating rights of the Columbus Crew franchise afterfounding the club and 18 years of ownership. Hunt isactively involved in the continued growth of MLS andserves as a member of the MLS Board of Governors, andCommissioner Don Garber’s Executive Committee, andhe is chairman of the competition committee.

Since 2000, Hunt Sports Group has celebrated eightchampionships with three different MLS clubs, includingthe 2000 (Kansas City) and 2008 (Columbus) MLS CupChampionships. Hunt Sports Group clubs also claimed theLamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2002 (Columbus) and 2004(Kansas City), and earned the MLS Supporters’ Shield –awarded to the MLS club with the best regular-season

record – four times.Hunt Sports Group has also been at the forefront of

stadium development in the United States. In 1999, theHunt family constructed Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio– the first soccer-specific stadium in the United States. In2005, Hunt Sports Group opened FC Dallas Stadium inFrisco, Texas, which is widely regarded as one of theworld’s most unique soccer facilities. The stadium hasserved as a model for soccer-specific stadiums in NorthAmerica.

Hunt graduated first in his class at SouthernMethodist University in 1987, earning a degree inBusiness Administration with a concentration in finance.He was a two-time recipient of the university’s highestacademic honor, the Provost Award for OutstandingScholar. During his career, he was a four-year lettermanon the Mustangs nationally-ranked soccer team, earningfirst-team Academic All-America honors as a junior andsenior and serving as a tri-captain his final season. Hewas named one of the SMU Cox School of BusinessOutstanding Young Alumni in 2004, and in 2005, he wasappointed to the Cox School Executive Board of Trustees.Hunt currently serves on the SMU Board of Trustees.

Clark Knobel Hunt graduated from the St. Mark’sSchool of Texas in 1983. He is married to the formerTavia Shackles of Kansas City. The Hunts are activelyinvolved in numerous philanthropic initiatives in bothKansas City and Dallas, including Harvesters and Lift UpAmerica, as well as the annual Chiefs Charity Game.

In its 32nd year, the Chiefs Charity Game is one ofthe many Kansas City traditions started by the Huntfamily and is the longest-running and most successfulcharity game in the NFL. Over the past three years, theChiefs Charity Game raised $1.6 million for Big BrothersBig Sisters of Greater Kansas City and has raised morethan $5 million for various charities over the last decade.

In addition to the Chiefs Charity Game, the Huntfamily continues its support of many city and team-themed traditions that were established under theleadership of franchise Founder Lamar Hunt. Included inthis list of Hunt family traditions are the 101 Awards —Kansas City’s Salute to Professional Football, whichcelebrated its 45th edition in 2015, 50-plus years of theChiefs Kickoff Luncheon and 24 years of Red Friday.

In September 2012, the Hunts served as honorarychairs for the 2012 "Treads & Threads" charity eventbenefiting The University of Kansas Hospital.

As part of the Chiefs celebration of 50 years inKansas City in 2012, Hunt served as the featured speakerat the 10th Annual American Royal Business andScholarship Luncheon, joining scholarship winners andthe business community to kick off the American RoyalSeason, which has been a Kansas City tradition since1899.

In April 2013, Hunt and his family received theMetropolitan Community College ‘Five Star Award’ fortheir significant contributions to the Kansas Citycommunity over the last five decades. Hunt was alsorecognized as a Community SuperStar by the JewishCommunity Center of Greater Kansas City for hiscommitment to the city through athletics and charitablegiving in 2013. In October 2013, Clark and Tavia Huntserved as honorary co-chairs of the Kemper MuseumGala.

The Hunts have three children - Gracelyn, Knobeland Ava.
