Just think how lucky you are!

Excerpt from the lectures of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj:

Just think, we have been graced with this human body, we are born in India and we have the association of a saint

who has given us spiritual knowledge. Now consider, how many of the world’s population are blessed with this

fortune which we have?

How many of them, in thousands or lakhs, have received the grace of god as we have? Surely, you will realize that

they are very few. Ponder over this time and again: how great is God’s grace on you.

If even a second before you die you are able to realize that you are so lucky to have received God’s grace, in

various forms, and that you have got the love and affection of a saint who has always benefited you with his grace,

then you will curse yourself if despair still has any place in your life.

“O ungrateful mind! I curse you. You are mean, miserable and wretched and yet, God is so kind to you that He

took you under his protection. You have the audacity to ignore his grace and to cause him sadness.

It is true that as he has crossed all limits in kindness and forgiveness, you have on your part crossed all limits in

meanness and sinful acts. Why don’t you take a pledge from today to devote yourself completely to make him

happy? The only way to make him happy is again to pledge:”

I will not entertain any ill feeling toward everyone, even if he has caused the most hurtful expression for me. I will

always engage in soul-searching and be ever ready to correct my faults.

In such a situation, you should surrender your intellect to his lotus feet and the despair will vanish. If you die after

the despair is gone, your life in your next birth will be full of hope and good luck.

Therefore, always think how lucky you are to be blessed with the association of the all-gracious master. He is the

embodiment of grace. Grace outside, grace inside, grace and only grace.

He is Kripalu!
