We have received a pledged amount of close to $126,779. This includes over 32% of our families. We have over 1,300 families in our parish and hope for 100% participation. Remember, all the money over our goal stays with our parish for our own needs. All the money collected now goes to our stain glass window fund. We have a total fund amount to date of $30,763 and it will keep growing with your generosity! Blessings! Fr. Mark

We are inviting couples to attend our annual Wedding Anniver-sary Mass Celebration with Bishop Paul J. Swain at Sacred Heart Parish on September 8, 2019. Because of the number of cou-ples involved, we can only invite those celebrating the below milestone anniversaries.

65 (1954+) years or more of marriage. Please register for the anniversary mass by filling out the simple form on our website: www.sacredheartaberdeen.net/milestone-anniversary-mass Thank you and Congratulations!

Greetings in Christ! Below is a short letter I received from Father Shane Stevens, a former pastor of Sacred Heart Parish. He was very instrumental in planting the seeds to bring this to fruition. We had a wonderful concert to hear the wide range of sounds that can come from this instrument. We plan on having another concert in the next few months and hopefully we will make an organ concert an annual event in the parish. We thank Father Shane Stevens for all the ground work he did while he was pastor here. Well done! Dear Fr. Mark, Greetings from St. Louise Tallahassee, Florida! It is hot and humid here! I was unable to see and hear some of the samples of the new organ at Sacred Heart. I heartily congratulate you and the parish, in this accomplishment. I wish I could be there for the inaugural concert, and dedica-tion. I look forward to one day hearing it in person! Please greet and congratulate all concerned. With best regards, and promise of prayers. Fraternally, SDS Rev. Shane D. Stevens St. Louis Catholic Church 4151 Miraflores Lane Tallahassee, Florida 32303 I want to personally thank Father Steve LaCanne for being with us this weekend. We heartily welcome him to the parish and ask you to be generous in your response to the “cry of the poor”. Father Steve LaCanne will speak at all the Masses on behalf of Cross Catholic Outreach which was founded to create a meaningful link between parishes in America and the priests and nuns working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, Central and South America. Brochures will be provided if you wish to support this worthy Catholic ministry. As we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord this weekend let us anticipate the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. I ask you to pray for all the seminarians on retreat in Omaha. I am privileged to help with spiritual direction for four of these young men. Pray that they become good and holy priests. Pray also for seminarian, Nate Allen, a parishioner from our parish, who will be on the same retreat. Pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious/consecrated life! Have a great weekend! Fr. Mark
