JULY 11, 2017 THE CHURCH VISITOR ALL Hands on Deck! The time has come - the sanctuary update that we have been praying about, preparing for, and raising money for is about to begin. This Sunday, we will be preparing the sanctuary for the renovation that begins on Monday, July 17th. We will need to empty the pews of all blankets, pew bibles and hymnals, pencils, Connect Cards and oering envelopes. We will also be removing 6 pews, carpeting on the stage area, all communion serving pieces and supplies along with all band equipment, piano and organ. The communion table will also need to be moved. In order to be able to do this, we ask for all hands on deck! We also ask for you to bring the following tools so that we can make this happen: screw drivers, pliers, crowbars, hammers, socket wrenches, and utility knives. We are working on having a nursery available for those who have children. ALL Hands on Deck!

The time has come - the sanctuary update that we have been praying about, preparing for, and raising money for is about to begin.

This Sunday, we will be preparing the sanctuary for the renovation that begins on Monday, July 17th. We have decided to postpone our “Blessed Threaders” meetings during the summer months due to vacations, etc. We will resume in September after Labor Day, on September 7 and 21 beginning at 10:00 am.

JULY CALENDAR

Your Outreach Committee wanted to share with you what RHCC is doing for the community:

Through donations collected at Vacation Bible School, we were able to deliver 150 food items to our local N.E.E.D. Center. “Thank you to ALL who brought food and special thanks to Dan & Ann Runnels who delivered these groceries to N.E.E.D.”

The Pioneer Class bought $250 worth of groceries for N.E.E.D. “Thank you, Pioneers, for your generous donation to our local food pantry.”

World Outreach Committee wrote out checks to the following: Mid Cities Care Corps - $500

(They are a non-profit organization, supported by churches, civic groups, businesses and individuals, working together to preserve the independence and well being of the elderly in Northeast Tarrant County.)

Wounded Warrior Project - $500

(Wounded Warrior Project is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501c organization.)

Brite Divinity School, TCU - $500

(We were able to bless our new member, Linda Barnette, with tuition fees. She is answering the call to become a chaplain.)

The money we collect will go to Richland Middle School, another school in our neighborhood.

RightNow Media It occurred to us recently that we have not mentioned this great resource the church provides in quite some time. Christian Ed made a decision a few years ago to invest in RightNow Media as resource that can be accessed from any smart device(TV, phone, computer) where you can look at a wide range of material--all Christian: Bible studies, cartoons, marital aids, conference presentations, leadership development (great for work also), and the list goes on. Many of you signed up for it originally, but I have no way of knowing who is using it regularly. If you start looking at some of these amazing resources, you will discover just how valuable they can be. One of our members on Sunday shared with Pastor Paul that they had been looking for more resources for Bible study. They logged onto RightNow Media and found some great stuff. Take some time, check it out, and find the treasure that can be found.
