Paratransit Operations Report - July 2019
Safety and Training Safety Mtg - Refresher training - Bi yearly training in Defensive Driving Skills and yearly Blood borne pathogens training was completed. Items discussed; ADA call out requirements, what is on-time performance, upcoming Marketing outreach efforts, Ironstone concert series and our role in transportation and Zoom! entries, why it is important to be timely and accurate.

Outreach & Events Saturday Hopper Outreach - Met with managers and owners of local hotels such as World Mark, Travelodge, Best Western, Murphy Suites, Angels Inn, Jumping Frog Motel, and Murphys Hotel, as well as the Visitors Center and Destination Angels Camp regarding our Saturday Hopper service, and transportation to selected Ironstone Concerts this Summer. Distributed updated Hopper schedules, a quick guide for display and promo passes to the hotels for their guests. Continuing education of our Hopper service by weekly visits to the hotels and to ensure staff is updated with the latest information and our upcoming events. Coordinated transportation service for select Ironstone Concert dates with the General Manager of Ironstone and worked closely with the parking and traffic control manager for safe drop and pick up areas. Ironstone Concerts- The Saturday Hopper service, with extended service hours to provide transportation service on July 20th, where we transported a total of 363 riders and again on July 27th - the Saturday Hopper transported 440 riders safely. Marketing Outreach- Assisted Selena Barlow and team by identifying riders of transit for testimonials and provided a bus and driver on July 28th (Sunday), to go out an meet with the riders and take photos of various transit locations.
Team Member of the Month Scott Mc Clure was hired as a dispatcher / computer tech for then Calaveras Stage Coach in 1999, has promoted up to Operations Assistant with Paratransit Services and has transitioned with transit over the last 20 years. Scott is responsible for managing on road activities, handles office sales, works with maintenance to ensure vehicles receive on time PMI's, creates reports & invoices and is responsible for anything that has to do with a computer! Scott continues to volunteer for Stuff the Bus events, Calaveras Jumping Frog fair, and other local events. We are thankful to Scott for his dedication to our service, the service of our riders and our community!
