My Special Event #1Last Spring Break, Rich and I went on

My first real spring break trip ever! We

Traveled on a cruise to the Cayman Islands

and Key West, Florida. Rich and I had many

memorable experiences during our vacation

like swimming with string rays and snorkeling

on a barrier reef. However, the most exciting

and memorable thing that happened was on

the last night of the cruise. Rich asked me to

marry him!! We are engaged to be married

this year.....on August 04, 2007. Not only will

this be a special day for me as it is my

wedding day, but I chose this date as it is my

grandfather’s birthday and my grandparents’

wedding anniversary. As my grandparents are

two of my favorite people in this world and

have been married for 60+ years, I found it a

great day to start the rest of my life with Rich.

My Special Event #2

• Last weekend, I got a puppy!! He is a 10 week old miniature dachshund, and currently weighs about 2 pounds. Full grown he will only reach about 10 pounds. His name is Onyx. Rich and I think that he is just adorable!! What about you?

5 Things I Want My Class To Know About Me

(1) I want my students to know that I am their teacher, but also their friend. I want them to

feel safe and comfortable to come to me in the event that they need anything or need

someone to talk to.

(2) I enjoy photography and creative arts.

(3) I am a HUGE butterfly admirer.

(4) I have known that I wanted to teach elementary school since I was in the fifth

grade.

(5) Most importantly, I want my students to know that to achieve goals in life, they must never give up on their dreams. Although achieving one’s dreams in life requires determination

and perseverance, the results and accomplishments far out way the sacrifices.

I have 3 goals for myself in 2007.

These goals are promises I have made to myself and strive to accomplish this year.

(1) Get Healthy. I am getting married this year, and desire to lose a few pounds so that I may look stunning on my wedding day. I really want to

knock my fiancé's socks off as I am walking down the aisle.

(2) Do Well in School. I have managed to excel during my academic career thus far in the PROTEACH program at the University of Florida. I desire to continue this trend, and make the Dean’s List for the third

semester in a row.

(3) Plan a Wedding. As I only have about 6 months left, I have to plan a wedding on a budget in a hurry while going to school full time. I want

our special day to be one that all in attendance will enjoy and remember!
