INTRODUCTION

Gayathri central schools OVERVIEW

Gayathri Central School is managed by Gayathri Educational and Charitable Trust, which is a charitable organisation registered under the Charitable Societies Registration Act with Reg. No. 107/06. The school provides opportunity for pupils to join the elite group of technology led school in the Alappuzha District. The school takes additional measures to make a child interested in the various subjects, and thus leading him through the sagacious path of both scholastic and co - scholastic curriculum. The school makes their kids smart and active, academically as well as personally.Gayathri Central School offers a challenging curriculum and an enriching learning experience from Primary through High School. It equips children with the tools to master rigorous academic challenges including mathematics, science, languages, literature and social sciences, and the global focus helps them tackle broader challenges beyond the textbook. They learn individual integrity as they develop the skills to deal with life experiences. The system integrates an active sports schedule, community service and programs apart from academics and other co - curricular activities - for study and for fun. The school adopts the most modern methods of teaching and lay equal emphasis on the values and traditions. The teachers have been trained to act as facilitators to help young people develop responsibility, self confidence, self discipline and a commitment to themselves, their family and to their community.The major facilities being offered by the school include well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Mathematics, Home Science, Language, excellent library and reading room, state of the art audio visual room, special intensive coaching for exceptional learners, special coaching for students with learning disabilities, counseling facilities by experienced counselors, training and career guidance.History

It had a humble beginning in November 2000 with nine playschool students and only one teacher.

Founder Chairman, Mr. C. Shaji Under the stewardship of the Founder Chairman Mr. C. Shaji, Gayathri Vidyamandir with nine tiny tots began to toddle down to the vast expanse of the world of letters in a one-roomed building surrounded by a small but nice childrens park. When these nine tiny tots were about to leave Gayathri Vidyamandirs precincts after completing their UKG stream, the school management was solicited and encouraged to start the next higher class, i.e., Std I by the grateful parents and caring well wishers. Thus Gayathri Central School was launched in 2006 after the formation of Gayathri Educational and Charitable Trust with Register No. 107/2006. It was in pursuit of his vision for a school that would mean a significant difference to the future of the world. Gayathri Central School has grown to become a model educational institute, embracing traditional values even as the school imparts an international educational curriculum.

MISSION AND VISION

Broader development of the complete personality of the student for which a student should be equipped with some blessings such as strong and secular ethics, a sense of integrity, uncompromising honesty, strong and sure understanding of the motherlands rich culture and a questioning mind that makes him / her competent enough to face the myriad challenges of the society. Gayathri Central School aims at creating intellectually mature, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired young men and women with a deep sense of values of life and national integration who can play an effective role in the 21st Century in the background of the rich heritage of our democratic Motherland.Spare the rod and spoil the child, the English Public School adage, must be redefined in todays context as the education has become purely child - centered and our school has come a long way as a torch bearer of this ideology.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

Gayathri Central Schools aim is to mould an ideal society based on Indian culture and philosophy. The school aims at the all round development of the student. The aim of Gayathri Educational and Charitable Trust is not only to help pupils to achieve academic excellence but also to make them good citizens.

ACADEMICS OVERVIEW

Gayathri Central School follows the syllabus of CBSE aiming at developing the communicative skill from the KG Stream onwards with exemplary study materials from the smart room.

The students are given ample opportunities to get hands on experience. What Gayathri Central School offers is a challenging curriculum, what students get is an enriching learning experience and the classrooms are interestingly alive. The school allows the teacher and student to be in harmony, enabling a self - learning process with a medium for constant interaction with each other.The medium of instruction is English.
