It was a sunny Saturday. A perfect day for softball! Holly jumped

up and said,

“I’m going to knock out the ball, I’m going to smash it!”

So Holly got up to bat she stuck her tongue out and said,

“I’m better then all of you!”

She went up to the plate she got In her stance,

“Strike one!”

“Strike two!”

“Strike three!”

“Holly is out!”

Holly ran to the dugout. Her face was red with embarrassment

Holly’s face went down. She whispered to herself, “Now I will never

have a friend.”

Then Macy, also known as the school bully, came and said, “Cry

baby! The ball didn’t even come near your bat!” Holly had a tear in her

eye.

Macy just slammed the ball out of the park! Then the team went on the

field. The ball came to Macy. It was easy to catch. Macy didn’t catch it.

Holly started to crack up. Macy ran to the dugout. She said to

herself,

“I will get her back!”

Holly made a very funny face at Macy. She made a face were she

took her fingers on the side of her mouth and pulls then stick out your

tongue. Macy ran away from Holly with anger.

Holly was up to bat again. This time her bat didn’t hit the ball her

nose did. Macy said,

Crooked nose!

Then everyone laughed along. Holly was trembling and red with

embarrassment. She said to herself,

“I want to go home I hate these girls.

Holly and Macy are having a fight on the field. A girl on the team

comes to them and said,

“We are a team we should not be fighting, we should be working

together not fighting!” The girls understood.

The next day Holly teaches Macy how to catch and through.

Holly said, “Okay I will roll the ball to you.” “Try to catch it.” After

a couple of tries Holly said, “You got it! Macy said to Holly,

Thank you so much! Now I can catch!

Macy said, “Now grab the bat, no, not like that. Holly said.

“How will I remember how to grip the bat?” Macy said

“I have an old trick. Knuckles to knuckles. Holly said. “That’s a

great trick, now I will know how to hit!” “Thank you so much!”

Now Holly and Macy get along and work as a team

One more practice went by. That practice was very good. Holly

was hitting, Macy was catching! After the practice the girls smiled at

each other. Holly said, “We should get together some time.”

Macy said, “Yes!”

As the girls walked off the field, they ran to their mom and dads

and asked, “Can we please get together?”

Their parents said, “I thought you two did not get along. Why

would you want to get together?

“Well now we do get along.”

Macy looked over at Holly, holly looked over at Macy. Holly said,

“I am sorry I bullied you. I am so sorry I bullied you. The girls now are

friends!
