Mr. Victor Tañedo—Computer Teacher at Ateneo de Manila High School, Studied at Ateneo de Manila University, Lived in Pasig, Microsoft Student Partners, Graduated as BS Computer Science

Ms. Gigi Adamantopoulos— Microsoft Student Partner at Microsoft, Studied at De La Salle University

On the first seminar, the speaker tackled about the Microsoft Azure. It is a Microsoft cloud computing platform that is used to build, deploy and manage applications through a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters.

Meanwhile, the second speaker talked about the new applications of the Microsoft. She also showed the new features and icons of the newly updated Microsoft.I don’t remember the name of the booth that we had visited. But for me it was the best booth because I really enjoyed their application games such as the Beckinese Dictionary, Tagalog-English Words, memorizing numbers and words, and other applications that need memorization and logic. Their games were fascinating and exciting. I won a Microsoft T-shirt because I got the highest score in the Beckinese Dictionary

The positive impact that the IT Summit provided to me is the learning or the information that we got from it. I could use that information in my future project by applying the information that was given such as using the database through the Microsoft Azure.

In the future run of the similar event, SMIT will do it more effectively if they tell the participants earlier to bring what are needed in seminars. Also, it would be more interesting if they have activities or ice breaker to make the participants lively all throughout the seminar.
