    Agroforestry (Food Forest) Project in Buracica

    In 2007 in Alagoinhas, Bahia, we worked with 30 families for 12months implementing a rural community sustainability plan

    Polyculture Project in CaemIn 2006 and 2007, in Caem, Bahia, we worked with 150 families over

    18 months to increase food security and plan, plant and maintain anagroforest (diversified food forest)

    School Vegetable Gardens ProjectIn 2005 and 2006, in Saubara, Bahia, we worked with students from4 local schools over 15 months to increase food security throughplanting vegetable gardens

    Serto.Net ProjectIn 2008 and 2009 we worked with 150 farmers from the semi-aridregion in Brazil and community representatives from the semi-aridregion in India, training participants in video conferencing and

    facilitating discussions on agricultural techniques , experiences andtechnologies

    Polyculture in the Semi-Arid Region ProjectFor 10 years from 2000 to 2009 we worked with over 700 familiesfrom communities in Umburanas, Ourolndia & Cafarnaum, Bahia, toensure local food security through re-evaluting agricultural practices,seed-mixing (polyculture) & agroforestry (diversified food forests)

    Umbuzeiro School Project

    Were working with 150 families from 30 communities in the semi-arid region in Bahia, facilitating environmental education, supportand training and creating local rural popular educators

    Harvesting the Fruits of the Serto Project

    Working for 16 months with 600 families from Umburanas,Ourolndia and Cafarnaum, in Bahia, to set up 3 local agribusinessesthat will process and market locally-grown organic fruit

    Agroecology and Land Rehabilitation ProjectWorking for 12 months with 100 families from communities inArataca, Ilhus, Andara and Nova Redeno, in Bahia, to reassess

    agricultural practices, apply agroecology principles and techniquesand rehabilitate degraded lands
