Class InformationCreative Movers3-4 year old dancers will enjoy this fun introduction to dance. Students learn a variety of jazz, ballet, tap and acrobatic movements. Sessions are offered in 10 and 8 weeks.

Ballet/Tap Movers, Jazz/Acro Movers, PreschoolA natural progression from our Creative Movers to a full year course, students are exposed to the funda-mentals of several styles. Recommended age is 4-5 years and students are involved in our year end recital.

BalletLearn poise and precision while developing flexiblity and strength. Primary Ballet begins at 6 years old. Level 3 Ballet students and up dance twice weekly.

Jazz

Based on modern technique, our jazz classes develop grounded movement, technical lines and personal expression. Primary Jazz begins at 6 years old.

Tap

Discover your inner musician while learning the tech-nique of sound quality, rhythm and style. Primary Tap begins at 6 years old.

Acro

Requiring a balance between strength and flexibility, acro showcases gymnastics like skills within the art of dancing. Primary Acro begins at 6 years old.

Hip Hop

Dance at its rawest form, Hip-Hop includes elements from Jazz, African, Tap, American and Latino dance cultures. It is a very en-ergetic and rhythmic form of dance that can be choreographed or improvised. Minimum age is 7 years old. **Boys only class for ages 5-7!

Mixed AbilityWe offer inclusive classes for kids with a range of spe-cial needs. Working on skill development, self empow-erment and celebrating our differences, students will be paired with a dance mentor but their aids are also invited to share in the fun!

Dance AliveDance Alive is offered on Friday nights to dancers aged 7 and up. The main focus is on choreography and per-formance in a variety of settings, and fun! The dancer must have a minimum one-year dance experience and be studying both ballet and jazz. Students are ac-cepted by audition. See our Dance Alive brochure for details.

Invitation to DanceITD is committed to providing high-quality dance classes in a non-competitive environment. We provide a safe and child-centered environment to encourage our students to explore dance with qualified, nurturing teachers.

We believe that a non competitive environment encourages young people to develop a positive self-image as well as a strong sense of community. Along with improving coordination skills and developing muscular awareness, we encourage our students to support their peers and develop their individual sense of expression.
