After the unfurling of the tricolour and singing of the National Anthem, Consul General spoke on the salient points of the speech given by the President of India on the eve of Independence Day. The celebrations continued with the traditional cricket match played at English Garden and a grand reception at Linden Museum Stuttgart which was graced by the Deputy Mayor. Mahatma Gandhis message of spreading peace and harmony in the world and empowering women were the main themes conveyed by the three women bikers and 30 member car rally enthusiasts who embarked on a world journey from India as part of 150 th birth anniversary celebration of Mahatma Gandhi. A special function was held at the Consulate to honour the women bikers and the car rally enthusiasts. September 2019 Consul General met Bernd Sibler, Minister of Science & Art of Bayern. Strengthening linkages between institutions of higher education & research of India & Bavaria were the main themes of their discussion. Educational linkages between India and Baden Wuerttemberg received a further boost during the interaction between the Consul General and Andreas Deuschle, Chairman of Baden Wuerttemberg Landtag Committee of Science & Art. Consul General met Stephan Neher, Oberbuergermeister of Rottenburg in Baden Wuerttemberg and discussed issues of cooperation with India. Consul General met Dr. Thomas Jung, Oberbuergermeister of Fuerth in Mittelfranken in Bayern and exchanged views of mutual concern.

Consul General met Boeblingen Oberbuergermeister, Dr. Stefan Belz and

discussed participation of Mittelstand businesses from the region in ‘Make In India’.

Consul General with Joerg Ehmer, CEO of Apollo Optik, German optics major where

they discussed its participation in retail eyewear market in India.

Consul General met Albstadt Lord Mayor Klaus Konzelmann and interacted on possible

cooperation with India, especially in business, education & culture.

Consul General met Domenico Iacovelli, CEO of Schuler AG, world's leading manufacturer of

systems for sheet metal forming and discussed strengthening its participation in ‘Make In India’.

Consul Consul General visited CMore Automotive, German future mobility

technology major & partner of ‘Make In India’ and interacted with its Managing Director Gregor Matenaer where they

discussed possibilities on furthering cooperation with India.

Consul General visited Flugfeld township authorities in Boeblingen and interacted on various issues of diverse urban space development & management.

The Independence Day celebrations continued as Consul General

inaugurated the Independence day Cup at Englischer Garten in

Munich. Indian cultural performances & Indian food were the other

highlights of the event.

Independence Day was celebrated in Munich with National Flag hoisting by Consul General, melodious rendering of patriotic songs & enthusiastic participation by the community.

The Golconda fort is listed as an archaeological treasure on the official "List of Monuments" prepared by the Archaeo-logical Survey of In-dia under The Ancient Monuments and Archaeo-logical Sites and Remains Act. Golconda actually consists of four distinct forts with a 10 km long outer wall with 87 semicircular bastions (some still mounted with cannons), eight gateways, and four draw bridges, with a number of royal apartments and halls, temples, mosques, magazines, stables, etc. inside. An acoustic effect can be experienced at Fateh Darwazaan, characteristic of the engineering marvels at Golconda. This worked as a warning note to the Royals in case of an attack

73rd Indian Independence Day Celebrations

On the occasion of Independence Day, Consul General hosted a

reception in Stuttgart for leaders from cross section of the society,

including from Government, business, education, media & culture.

The deputy mayor of Stuttgart graced the event. The event also

showcased a kaleidoscope of Indian art & culture, including

conveying the central message of Mahatma Gandhi and Guru Nanak

Dev Ji.

Consul General addressed the community and

friends of India in Freiburg in Baden

Wuerttemberg on the occasion of Independence

Day of India.

Consul General awarded certificates to the

winners of painting competition organized to

celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma

Gandhi.

To promote Yoga in the region, Consul General

along with the City Deputy Mayor, inaugurated a

Yoga event in Stuttgart which was attended by

Yoga enthusiasts.

As part of Indian Film Festival in Stuttgart,

Consul General opened a special session on

‘Making of Indian Cinema : The Indian Art of

Cinematography’. The Film festival was

co-organized by the Consulate.

Consul General welcomed the three member Biking Queens from India

on their journey around the world. The women bikers mission was to

convey the message of women’s empowerment.

Consul General welcomed and interacted with the members of World

Peace car rally from India whose mission was to convey the message of

peace and non violence around the world.
