BOSS BOARD STUDY GROUP

Every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Community Activity Center Ballroom. Soldiers will study for NCO/Soldier of the Month and promotion boards. On the last Wednesday of the month, there will

be a mock board with senior enlisted Soldiers as panel members to provide feedback.

For the � rst article, we will introduce you to some K-Pop songs and idol groups. K-Pop is short for Korean Pop songs.

K-Pop is the most famous cultural export in Hallyu. Which song is the most popular in the U.S.? ‘Gangnam Style’ should be on the top of everyone’s list.

This 2012 song went viral thanks to its music video on youtube. “Gangnam Style” appeared on a lot of famous shows and dramas like “Glee” in the U.S. During the 2012 presidential election, there were 2 presidential candidates who parodied this video for the election campaign: Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. There are lot of famous and popular K-Pop songs and idol groups all over the world. Let’s dive in and get to know a little more about K-Pop!
