Curriculum
Reading: We will continue to discuss how readers talk about books and share what they notice, think, and wonder. We will also practice using reading strategies to help us solve words.
Writing: We will begin a new unit on persuasive and opinion writing. We will be using our words like “magic wands” to think of ways to solve a problem and make a change. We will learn to include reasons to make our writing more convincing.
Science/Social Studies: What is the role of a president? We will learn more about some of the past presidents lives!
Math: We will begin Unit 6! Students learn the names, describe the attributes, and discuss the similarities and differences between two-dimensional and three- dimensional shapes. They will sort 2D and 3D shapes and compare them.
