The beginning of the new performance evaluaon year (no later than 9/30). Our campus is currently complying with and adhering to #1 and #3, but beginning immediately and in accordance with Civil Service Rules, planning sessions shall be conducted when a classified employee is promoted as well. HRM is requesng that the planning session take place within the first 30 days of the promoon. Just as with the planning sessions associated with new appointments, departments will be nofied by the assigned staffing partner of the need to conduct these sessions. Aſter the session is conducted, please complete the accompanying PES document and aach in HRS under the Documents tab, selecng 'Planning Document (PD)' from the drop down box. Compliance with this rule will be monitored by HRM. Listed below are instances when a planning session may be conducted (these are highly recommended): 1. When the employee gets a new Evaluang Supervisor, 2. When performance expectaons change, or 3. When the Evaluang Supervisor deems a performance planning session is appropriate. HRS Update When loading an XDOC or a correction (XCOR) in HRS, please use the remarks section to state why

Name: Sarah Moran Hometown: Baton Rouge, LA College: B.S. Business Management, LSU

What do you do in your department, including job title and area?

I work as the Assistant to the Executive Director in the Academic Center for Student-Athletes. I provide support to the Executive Director and serve as the HR Contact and Business Manager, including payroll and travel arrangements. I am also responsible for planning our annual Academic Excellence Gala in which our student-athletes are recognized for their academic achievements. How long have you been with LSU? Since September 2011; 9 months.

What has been your most satisfying or rewarding experience as an HR professional?

I love meeting new people all the time. I see so many different people in my office every day, from students and coaches to faculty and other professional staff members from around campus. There is never a lack of fellowship!

What do you like most about working at LSU?

I enjoy the atmosphere and the LSU campus itself. I am so grateful to work in such a pleasant environment with great people!

Tell us something about yourself.

I trained and competed in martial arts in college; Traditional Tang Soo Do. It was a great stress reliever, particularly during exam time!
