LE QUARTIER CHARDONNAY DE MÉNILMONTANT’ 2017

Chardonnay, IGP Vin de Pays d’Oc, France Full, creamy, and intense, just as Chardonnay was intended. Fun fact: Menilmontant was a suburb of Paris and lay outside its taxation zone, meaning drinks were cheaper there which resulted in plenty of pubs.

MATSU EL PICARO, 2017Tinta de toro (tempranillo), Castilla Y Leon, SpainBack again; Matsu el Picaro. Named best house wine in 2016. This wine does not just look good, it tastes very good too; powerful and firm body. Flew in KLM’s business class as their biodynamic theme wine. Is widely praised for being vegan. Quite something for a wine that pairs perfectly with red meat.
