Dramatic advances in LED technology have broadened the

applicability of this type of illumination, creating an exciting

new option for hazardous, industrial and other highly

demanding locations. Compared to traditional incandescent

and HID technologies, LED light sources can deliver longer

life, enhanced energy efficiency, greater eco-friendliness,

lowered maintenance demands and equal or better quality of

light.

Innovative applications for this exciting technology are a

natural fit for us, and LED lighting solutions have rapidly

become an integral part of our vision.

You’re faced with high maintenance and operating costs withinyour petrochemical facility. In addition, frequent lamp failurespose a safety concern where continuous lighting is required.You’re tasked with identifying a lighting solution that reducesownership costs while maintaining similar or improved lightlevels.

Old Way: 300 pieces of conventional 400W probe start metal halideluminaires are installed throughout the facility, requiringfrequent change out of burned-out lamps and ballasts,resulting in high maintenance costs and ongoing safetyconcerns.

New Way:Install 175W Hazard•Gard® EVLL LED Luminaires to realize up to56% reduction in energy consumption and slash maintenancecosts associated with lamp replacement. The EVLL LED isdesigned to easily adapt to existing mounting modules for quickreplacement and ease of installation.

Benefit: Realize a potential $215K in energy and maintenance costsavings per year making the change to Hazard•Gard® EVLL LEDLuminaires. Utilize an environmentally-friendly lightsource by implementing Cooper Crouse-HindsLED technology.

Installation and replacement made simple

Modular design - This contractor-friendly design isideal for both new construction applications and retrofit.These luminaires use the same mounting modules asexisting Hazard•Gard® Series luminaires. The quick-connect design facilitates installation - install and wire themounting module, then screw in your luminaire. Two start Acme threadsease and reduce installation time.

NEMA 4X Rated

LED Housing Assembly - The LED housing is constructed ofdurable die cast aluminum, providing an efficient thermal path tothe heat sink assembly. The impact-resistant lens is sealed from theoutside environment and provides ingress protection against waterand dust. Multi-die LED arrays are used to provide energy-efficient,long-life white light.

Safe, reliable heat transfer

Heat sink - Enhanced heat sink designprovides safe and effective heat transferfrom the LED assembly to the outsideenvironment, ensuring low LED junctiontemperature, reliability and sustainedlumen performance.

High efficiency and lumen output

Driver module assembly - High efficiency LED drivers are designed toprovide reliable operation in even the harshest environments. Various ACand DC input voltage options are available to suit virtually any driverequirement.

APPLICATIONS

THE EVLL LED FAMILY LED SYSTEM

Hazard•Gard® EVLL Series LED Luminaires are designed to provide

full-spectrum, crisp, white light. Five versions of the EVLL LED are

available, providing ideal solutions for a wide range of applications.

• Five lumen outputs for replacement of existing HID luminaires

• Locations requiring continuous and consistent light levels in

extreme ambient temperatures

• Areas requiring frequent on-and-off of lights

• Where flammable vapors, gases, ignitable dusts, fibers or

flyings are present; indoors or outdoors

• Where extremely corrosive, wet, dusty, hot and/or cold

conditions exist

• NEMA 4X, marine, wet locations and hose-down

environments

• Manufacturing plants; heavy industrial, chemical,

petrochemical or pharmaceutical facilities; platforms; loading

docks; tunnels; outdoor wall and stanchion mounted general

area lighting

The Class I, Division 1 Hazard•Gard® EVLL LED product offering provides the same durability and reliability of a

traditional HID fixture, coupled with the low cost of ownership and energy efficiency of Cooper Crouse-Hinds LED

technology. High-performance LEDs and a solid-state electronic driver provide light where you need it, at a

fraction of the operating costs of HID lighting technologies.
