SUMMARY:Rockwell hardness testing isan indentation testing method.It's a general method for measuring thehardness of metallic and polymermaterials. Its chief advantage is its ability to displayhardness values directly, thus obviatingtedious calculations involved in otherhardness measurement techniques.Also,the relatively simple and inexpensiveset-up makes it's second point.It involves the application of a minor loadfollowed by a major load, and then notingthe hardness value directly from a dial orany depth meters.
