StorytimesThe spring session of registered storyhours is now in progress and

will continue through May. Please call to check on availability.

Lego EventCome to our monthly Lego Event on Saturday, May 17 from 3-4 pm. Ev-eryone between the ages of 5 1/2-11 is welcome. LEGOs are provided; there is no need to bring your own. There will be challenges, free build time and more! Hope to see you there. Sign up is required. Call the library at 949-3630 ext.2 to register beginning May 1.

Children’s Bubble DisplayCassie Rozzen, age nine, will display her My Little Pony collection in the Children’s Room Bubble. Cassie has always liked My Little Pony, and has been collecting them since she was three years old. So be sure to visit the chil-dren’s room to view Cassie’s fun collection

lossom Garden Club Workshop Children ages 6-10 may join the ladies of the Apple Blossom

Garden Club to learn how to make a Mother’s Day arrange-ment using fresh flowers on Thursday, May 8 at 4:00 pm. Space is limited. Registration is now being taken.

High Flying FunOn Wednesday, May 14 at 4 pm, children ages 6-10 may join us at the library to make a colorful kite. Children will create and dec-orate a fun kite that will brighten their bed-room! Registration for this craft begins on May 1.

Friday is Game Day @ the Library Come to the library on Fridays from 2:00 -4:30 to play a board game. Bring a friend or make a new one !This is a drop in program no sign up is necessary. See you soon!

Kids Reading Across Rhode Island Kick - Off CelebrationSaturday 5/31/14 from 1- 4 pm at the Rhode Island State House This free event is the kick off to sum-mer reading across the state of Rhode Island. Activities include meeting the author Chris Gra-benstein , the author of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. He will be speaking and signing copies of his book which will be available for purchase. Activities include crafts de-signed by children's librarians and other book related fun. Stay tuned for more details !

We are open every afternoon after school. Everyone between the ages of 11-17 or in grades 6-12 is welcome. The hours are from 2:00-5:30 on Monday-Thursday and 2:00-5:00 on Friday. It is located in the Baker Room which is on the lower level of the library. There you will find computers, tables to use for homework or group projects and a librarian to assist you. No sign up is needed! As the school year winds down, I would love to know if there is any interest in keeping the center open one or two afternoons a week during the summer.
