Trenching In these two locations was carried out specifically to open up the magnetite - pyrite - pyrrhotite tones lying parallel to each other in a general east-west direction.
This deposit is a banded hIderlte-magnetite formation with assays of tKe magnetite in dicating 187. - 237. recoverable Iron.
South ot this Is a basic chloritic schist (greenstone) extrusive with pyrite and where pyrrhotite mineralization has replaced much of the pyrite.
Surface samples of pyrite and pyrrhotite did noi contain conmercidl quantities ot auy minera l.
This drp.ij.il extends ior more than LWO miles in an cast-west direction and straddles a lar^e taalt dipping ,it 80 degrees north, with the greenstone rising through the iron f o rma 11 o a.
