L oving and faithful God, through the years the people of our archdi-ocese have appreciated the pray-
ers and love of Our Lady of Prompt Suc-cor in times of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother, and ask you to help us in the battle of today against violence, murder and racism.
We implore you to give us your wisdom that we may build a community founded on the values of Jesus, which gives re-spect to the life and dignity of all people.
Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth that they may be peacemakers of our time. Give consolation to those who have lost loved ones through violence.
Hear our prayer and give us the persever-ance to be a voice for life and human dignity in our community.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.

What would it take to have such perfect trust that my needs would be met? Surrendering myself to God’s will. I close my eyes and imagine it and sometimes it’s scary. Then I remember that Psalm 139:14 says – He knows everything about me, I cannot escape from His presence and that, “I praise You, so wonderfully You made me: wonderful are Your works.” He knows my past and He sees my future…He died for me, miserable and unworthy as I am. He wants me as I am to be His disciple. As I come before Him and re-lease all my fears and apprehensions, I must trust that He will do a mighty work in me because I am willing to serve Him. The Twelve were far from perfect but they were willing, and Jesus changed them from mere cow-ards to mighty apostles to bring the gospel “to the ends of the earth.” Lord, my God, I do believe, help my unbelief. The Altar Auxillary prepares the worship environ-ment for the Sunday Eucharistic and the major feasts and seasons. The auxillary is comprised of volunteers dedicated to serving the Lord and Di-vine Mercy Parish through involvement in one or more of the following committees: Linens, Plants, Décor and Housekeeping. Marcos 6: 8 ¿Qué se necesitaría para tener una confianza tan perfecta que mis necesidades se cumplirían? Rindiéndome a Dios sería. Cierro los ojos y lo imagino y a veces me da miedo. Entonces recuerdo que el Salmo 139: 14 dice: Él sabe todo sobre mí, no puedo escapar de su presencia y que, "te ala-bo, maravillosamente tú me hiciste: maravillosas son tus obras”. Él conoce mi pasado y ve mi futuro... Murió por mí, yo mise-rable e indigno como soy. Él me quiere como yo soy para ser su discípulo Cuando vengo ante Él y lanzo todos mis miedos y aprensiones, debo confiar en que Hará un gran trabajo conmigo porque estoy dispuesto a servirlo.
