Make a small loop at the end of the suture. Place the shorter strand of the loop under the bottom jaw.

Place the loop in the notch and hold the suture in placeby applying a little tension perpendicular to the device.

5a - While holding the suture in the notch, briefly toggle down to the level labeled “Load Suture.” 5b - You will see the suture slide into the needle slot.

If the suture tail is longer than 10mm, slide suturethrough the slot to create a 10mm tail.

7a - Press lever forward where it’s labeled “Deploy Needle.” Once needle has been deployed,the suture will be passed through tissue as shown. 7b - Close jaws of EXPRESSEW.

8a & 8b - Use thumb to pull back lever. 9a - Grasp suture with EXPRESSEW mouth. 9b - Alternatively, retrievesuture with a Suture Grasper
