1,500 men and women in ministry LEAVE the ministry, each and every month, due to burnout. This includes missionaries, teachers, pastors, youth ministers, clergy of all types... and it is sad. If the CDC were covering this as a disease, it would be termed as an epidemic. 1,500 of those called into the ministry, ordained by God to do His work ... leave because the pressure is too much and they have no way to get rest... They Burn Out. The ones we see in glamour on tv are not the mainstream. The mainstream is the pastor caring for his people and then working a second job to pay his bills.

UEC La Siesta ... is a place for rest. A place where those in ministry can get away in a safe and private environment and let their hair down ... 10 days of tranquility and peace ... Allowing them time alone with God to re-energize, revitalize, recommit to their pas-sion and revisit the deep passion that once burned inside for their God and His work.

Arizona - Year Round Sunshine! What better place to offer such a retreat!?! Picture if you will, self contained cabins in a secluded and private setting. Surrounded by beautiful flower gardens with walking paths throughout the grounds. Tennis courts, heated pool, jacuzzi, basketball court, shuffleboard, horseshoes, darts, pool table, read-ing and music library, craft room, workout room, table tennis, bbq pit with picnic tables, a quiet lounge, dining hall for gathering, commercial kitchen serving homestyle meals daily, and close to hiking trails and a golf course. Along with a caring staff that are there when needed.

All of this will be provided with expenses paid, to make it possible for those struggling to still get the rest they need and so deserve.

To make this possible, we need your help!

This property is well priced and turnkey ready to launch this work, but we need your help in making that possible. Your TAX DEDUCT-IBLE donation is so appreciated and so needed. If we all do our small part, the magnitude of the joint effort will be great and will impact those in ministry across the entire nation. Please help us today!

BIZ COACHBALANCING WORK AND FAMILY ...

Your Image - Make it or Break it When people think of you, or your company, what image do they have, based on the marketing you have done on your own bealf?

Do they see a professional? Some- one they can trust to help them look good or to succeed in their own business or life, or do they see half baked ideas, and budget minded marketing in the works, which do not give a good image, impression or ROI?

We must be very careful and the image we portray to others in our business life. If you do not have a mind for details, find someone to help you that does. If you are not a person who can spell well, find someone who can. These are not only suggestions, they can mean the very most to your success. People want to view you as a business God in the area they need your help in. If you are cutting corners to save a dime, I encourage you to stop. No one wants to see a poorly written piece of advertising. No one wants to read a motivational script that is filled with spelling and grammatical errors. People desire more. People EXPECT more. If you are unable to deliver, they will move on to some- one who can. Don’t malke them. You have their attention! Make the

The Star Award for May goes to: Military Veterans Against Child Abuse (MVACAUNITED)

Our interview is with Sharon M. Blacknall

When and how did your company form? Military Veterans Against Child Abuse was started as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2013. I am an U.S. Air Force Veteran and have been a child safety advocate for many years. I noticed over the years of teaching children about personal safety and parents about missing child prevention, there were plenty of programs for kids ages 6 and older, but nothing comprehensive for the preschool age children. So, I developed the A-B-C Learn Safety With Me program to specifically fill the void in childhood safety for 3-5 year old kids. The main character in the book, Ryan is based on my real life nephew Ryan.

What is your mission statement? Military Veterans Against Child Abuse is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate children, parents, child care providers, teachers and the community as a whole about child safety and child abuse prevention through educational material, activities, seminars and advocacy.

Please tell us a little about your family. My husband, James, and I are U.S. Air Force Veterans and we have two children. I am also the daughter of a U.S.A.F. Veteran and spent most of my childhood travelling around the world with my family. My involvement with child advocacy started in Las Vegas, NV where we lived for 22 years and we moved to San Antonio, TX in 2011.

THIS MONTH OUR FOCUS IS ON SAFETY!!!

Whatever our age, we must always pay close attention to our safety and the safety of others in the kitchen. Whether it be the stove, the oven, dishwasher, sink or disposal, everything has its own set of potential hazards. We recommend teaching your children from a very early age, the potential hazards within your home. To not do this, sets them up for failure and could even cause an injury that would be life threatening. We must take it seriously.

10 Safety Rules in the Kitchen

Check that the oven and other cooking appliances are turned off before you leave the kitchen.

Keep electrical appliances away from water to avoid shocks. Stay away from electrical sockets, especially if your hands are wet.

If you burn yourself, tell an adult immediately and hold the burned area under cool running water.

Don’t put knives or other sharp objects into a sink full of water. Someone could reach in and get hurt.

Watch out for sharp knives. Let an adult cut or slice foods or help you do it.

Never put water on a cooking fire -- it could make the fire bigger. Ask an adult for help! Put out a fire with a fire extinguisher. If the fire is small, it can be put out with baking soda or smothered with a lid. Leave the house and call 911 if the fire has leaping flames.

Don’t put cooked food on an unwashed plate or cutting board that held raw food. Always use a clean plate.

Never add water to a pan that has hot oil in it. It could make the oil splatter and burn someone.

Always turn pot handles in toward the back of the rangetop. This way no one can bump into them and knock the pot over.

Keep paper towels, dish towels and pot holders away from the rangetop so they don’t catch on fire.

GOLD AWARD WINNER !!!

Growing up in the small town of Gobbleville, Anamazie studies acting, singing, and dancing while basking in the local spotlight as a star baton twirler. Oppor-tunity comes knocking when she is discovered by a talent scout and is cast in a major motion picture. Gollywood Here I Come! taps into pop culture trends of TV shows like “America’s Got Talent” and the public’s fascination with ce-lebrities. At its heart, the story leaves young readers with the positive mes-

sage, “You can do anything if you work hard and never give up.”

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY OLDEST DAUGHTER, ELISHA, AND HER NEW HUSBAND, ORLANDO. THEY MARRIED IN ARIZONA IN MAY, 2015. ~ RITA, executive editor

STAR OF THE MONTHcontinued from page 5...

What are your goals for 2015? My goals for 2015 are to expand the reach of our program and get more children involved with reading our 2 books on safety, ‘The ABC’s and 123’s of Child Safety’ and ‘A-B-C Learn Safety With Me!’ Also, we want to get more children involved in our ‘Pay it forward’ with kindness drive.

What were your top accomplishments of 2014? Our goal was to reach 500 kids through our program for 2014 and we exceeded that by doing live presentations for 772. Also, the kids know me as “Miss Sharon the Safety Lady” and it gives me such a good feeling when one of the kids, who have been through our seminar, sees me later and wants to tell me all the ways they’ve been staying safe and how they’ve taught their parents and siblings the safety rules. For me it is the ulti-mate “Teach one, Reach many” scenario. We were also named one of GreatNonprofits “Top Non-profit for 2014”, and received the Family Review Center Editor’s Choice Award!

What was the hardest part in launching your product and/or company? The hardest part about launching our program is funding. People do not like to think about preschool aged children being abused or molested, and therefore do not want to deal with the subject. Many par-ents think it will be too scary to talk to 3-5 year old children about safety, but we have proven that talking about safety does not and should not ever be scary. We have found a way, by using a cast of multicultural characters (the All-Star Safety Patrol Kids) and age appropriate language, to make stay-ing safe a fun and empowering experience.

What is your one piece of key advice for new entrepreneurs? Don’t ever give up! You will encounter many obstacles and you might get knocked down, but your belief in your mission or company has to be so ingrained in your soul, that nothing or no one will stand in the way of your ultimate success.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years, it is our hope to have this program taught in child development centers all across the country and every child has been exposed to our books or Windows 8 application, The ABC’s and 123’s of Child Safety.

What is your next big adventure? We just developed a curriculum to accompany our books, so the next step is to expand the series of books and take the All-Star Safety Pa-trol kids on different adventures and show kids how to stay safe in many different scenarios.

What would be your dream vacation? I been many places in the world, but the most serene and peaceful place for me is Sedona, AZ. So my ultimate dream would be to stay at the Enchantment Resort and be pampered all week at the Mii Amo Spa.

What is your favorite hobby? My favorite hobby is to read and my guilty pleasure is suduko puzzles!

How do you relax? I love to relax with a good puzzle, movie or just spending time with my husband James and our mini schnauzer Zorro (who is the alter ego of Samson the Safety Dog in our books.)

Family Review & Award Center

Family Review Center launched in Washington State in 2000. At that time reviews and awards were just starting to gain a foothold in the online world. You did not find bloggers on every corner offering them, and you did not find many avenues to help promote a new product free of charge. Little did we know back then what it would grow into. I see all of the growth as a positive thing for those who are entering the marketplace with their new ideas, both services and products. There are now so many ways to share what you have to offer, with so many different audiences available to reach. Usually two businesses will have some overlap in those they serve, but most will be unique, so the more places one shares their products, the more exposure they will receive. And if you want growth in your business and sales, this is vitally important.

Family Review and Award Center offers a broad array of services for our clients, both free and paid alike. We love what we do and we do what we love, so we are good at it, and our enthusiasm seaks or itself. From free reviews, to a full, professional and extensive awards program. We also offer coaching on a small scale, to those we work with on an as needed basis.

We are all about seeing our clients succeed and sharing great products we find with those who rely on us to keep them in the know. That is what keeps us going, is the curiosity and needs of those who visit our site, follow us in social media, and read our magazine. They want to know what new products are worth their time and money and they know that we will not post a review unless we think they will like the product. We do not post negative product reviews because we figure there are enough places to go for those - we share only prod-ucts that pass our test of quality, user friendliness and fair pricing.

We like to help others. If this was just about the numbers game, we would have gotten out of it when the economy was so bad and times were slow because no one had the money to spend on advertising etc. This is a passion and an avenue where we can be of help, to help others succeed and that is where the payoff is found for us and that is our biggest reward. When I see one of those we reviewed in the prelaunch stage, walk out on TV for Shark Tank or QVC, HSN or the likes, or I see their product hit the shelf at Walmart or Target, many with our Award Emblem ... I smile a proud smile, much like I’ve done with my own children as I’ve watched them succeed. I am here, cheering them on! I want to see them go far and I take great pleasure in it when I see they surpass what they ever expected or dreamed. And when they drop me a note as they progress, thanking me and sharing their successes with me - I LOVE IT! Who could ask for more? I am truly blessed as I reach out to bless others.

Thank you for being a part of the “Family Review Family!” We love having you here and we look forward to serving you for many years to come. We are setting out to lauch some new and exciting campaigns to change things up a bit and make it even better.. so stay tuned and watch for the announcements. It is going to get cra-zy but it is going to be AWESOME!! And you all will be able to be a part of it. Thanks again and God Bless.
