The organisation was on a high level, and both, the players and the spectators, really enjoyed the atmosphere. Espe-cially attractive were the night matches, played under the reflectors on both Friday and Saturday evening, which at-tracted many spectators, among them many tourists from European countries, who cheered their teams on.

Beside the competition, the organisers also provided so-cial events. The participants could enjoy cruising the Adri-atic Sea and sightseeing of the City of Piran, while on the evenings several parties were organised in the local disco-theques and on the beach.

The medals for the best teams were awarded by Mrs. Lu-cija Čok, the Rector of the University of Primorska, Mrs. Vojka Štular, the Mayor of the City of Portorose, Mr. Otmar Kugovnik, the President of SUSA and mr. Enno Harms, the President of EUSA.

The tribunes were full, when the finals took place on Sun-day. In the women final, the team from University of J.E. Purkyne from Usti nad Labem (CZE) Pokorna/Markgra-fova beat the team Aures/Eckl from Technical University Munich (GER) 2:0. Lah/Stubelj (University of Primorska) defeated their Slovenian colleagues Perhaj/Rop from the University of Ljubljana with 2:0 in the men finals.

Mr. Miro Cerar, former Olympic medallist and now the Ambassador of Slovenia for Sport and Fair Play awarded the ladies double Ermel/Nielander from University of Tartu (EST) the reward for Fair Play.
