EMX85 cc First race of the EMX85 saw a beautiful battle for the first position, two French riders being the main focus of the race: Brian Moreau Strubhart (Kawasaki) and Thibault Benistant (Husqvarna). At first it was the Husqvarna rider who took the leadership of the race but he was not able to hold on Strubhart who made the pass and went on to win the race. Italian Kevin Cristino on KTM finished in third place. The second race of the EMX85 was run under the same script, with Strubhart and Be- nistant struggling for the first two positions, while Tom Guyon on TM managed to scrape a third place for a full French podium in the second race and on the overall. In the final standings of the EMX85 South-West zone the French domination is out- standing, with three French riders in the top 3: Brian Moreau Strubhart first, Thibault Benistant second and Tom Guyon third. EMX65 cc The EMX65 races were both a Spanish affair, with Edgar Canet on KTM leading all the race in front of Adria Monne Viles, also on KTM. These riders finished first and second while third place was secured by Raul Sanchez Rodriguez, on KTM, too. Second race of the EMX65 was thrilling as all the three riders who finished on the po- dium in the first race managed to switch position with one another: Rodriguez fini- shed first but had to settle for second overall as Canet scored 22 points with his second place and finished on the first position in the overall.
