1 Introduction This document outlines the test procedure to be carried out to ensure the functionality of the AeroMobile system is functional prior to the aircraft’s release into revenue service.

4 Test Plan

4.1 Antenna Test Using the spectrum analyser and di-pole antenna set to the appropriate frequency carry out the following.

4.2 Power Up

4.2.1 Ensure AeroMobile Master Power switch on the flight deck is set to OFF.

4.2.2 On the P37 Panel (Right), ensure The following circuit breakers are closed C9201 (BTSRFU) C9202 (CRFMU1) C9203 (CRFMU2) C9204 (BI Server) On the P11-8 panel ensure circuit breaker C9200 (Pico Cell Sys DC Power) is closed.

4.2.3 Set the flight deck AeroMobile Master Power Switch to ON

4.2.4 Check that the Control Panel (CP) displays the AeroMobile logo screen for approximately 15 seconds

4.2.5 Press the Maintenance button The screen will change to the Maintenance screen.

4.2.6 Check that for each of the AeroMobile LRUs, the display shows PASS. Note: SATCOM may show FAILED if not turned on/logged on.

4.2.7 Using a GSM mobile phone, perform a manual network search and confirm that the AeroMobile network is not listed.

4.3 Network Initialisation

Using the pitot static test set, begin simulating an increase in the aircraft altitude to 25,000 feet.

As the aircraft altitude passes through 20,500 feet (6.25km), confirm the CP screen displays the MAIN MENU.

Turn on all mobile phones.

4.3.4

Check that all GSM mobile phones can log onto the AeroMobile network.

4.3.5

Check that all GSM mobile phones receive a welcome message.

4.3.6

From the CP MAIN MENU select STATUS.

4.3.7

Check that REG’D Users equals the same number of GSM mobile phones connected to the AeroMobile network. Note: Phones previously attached may not be counted.

4.17 Status – Live Calls

4.17.8 Check that the LIVE CALLS indication decrements by one

4.17.9 End all other calls in progress

5 Completion / Sign off of Aircraft Shut down any aircraft systems used during testing in accordance with AMM’s. Ensure that any panels disturbed during testing have been refitted securely and correctly. Remove aircraft ground power in accordance with AMM’s, and return the aircraft to its normal pre-power configuration.
