SUPPORT YOUR LIBRARY Vote YES for the Library Budget at Jamesville-DeWitt High School on Tuesday, May 21st The primary source of the Library’s funding is voted on by you, James- ville-Dewitt School District residents. The Library historically received an annual grant from the Town of DeWitt, but we have lost Town funding, and taxpayers’ contributions now constitute more than 93% of our annual income. This year, the DCL proposition on the May 21 th ballot is for an addi- tional $25,133. This equals an increase over the 2012 budget proposi- tion of just 2% (within the mandated NYS tax levy limit.) If approved, the increase would mean that the family with a home valued at $100,000 would pay a library tax rate of approximately $80.04, which equals an increase of only $.83! The increase in tax revenue requested in the 2013 budget proposition will support library services, collections, and increasing operating ex- penses. In addition, the DeWitt Community Library Board of Trustees will continue to set aside funding to ensure that the Library will have the necessary resources for a new facility. Please take the time to vote on the Library Budget Proposition on Tuesday, May 21st, 2013. To make it easier for you to vote, the Library’s budget proposition vote is held at the Jamesville-DeWitt High School Main Gym Foyer from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, the same day and place where you vote for the Jamesville-DeWitt School District budget. Vote YES for the Library Budget

at Jamesville-DeWitt High School

on Tuesday, May 21st

The primary source of the Library’s funding is voted on by you, James-

ville-Dewitt School District residents. The Library historically received

an annual grant from the Town of DeWitt, but we have lost Town

funding, and taxpayers’ contributions now constitute more than 93%

of our annual income.

This year, the DCL proposition on the May 21th ballot is for an addi-

tional $25,133. This equals an increase over the 2012 budget proposi-

tion of just 2% (within the mandated NYS tax levy limit.) If

approved, the increase would mean that the family with a home

valued at $100,000 would pay a library tax rate of approximately

$80.04, which equals an increase of only $.83!

The increase in tax revenue requested in the 2013 budget proposition

will support library services, collections, and increasing operating ex-

penses. In addition, the DeWitt Community Library Board of Trustees

will continue to set aside funding to ensure that the Library will have

the necessary resources for a new facility.

Please take the time to vote on the Library Budget Proposition on

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013. To make it easier for you to vote, the

Library’s budget proposition vote is held at the Jamesville-DeWitt

High School Main Gym Foyer from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, the same day

and place where you vote for the Jamesville-DeWitt School District

budget.
