(Energy Medicine)

As a Curandera, I most often clear bad spiritual energies from those that seek my help. The

other side of my practice is about healing spiritually and physically. Often the physical

illness I find is tied to the spiritual problems that face that person. The question is how toheal the mind, body and spirit. Towards this endeavor, I have spent much of my life learning

the ways of Curanderismo and they include herbal and holistic techniques to aid in illness.

Through the years I have concentrated on many techniques of healing with energy and

Homeopathy is one that is very effective. It does not contradict the laws of Curanderismo,

yet it seems closer to the western medical techniques known as allopathy. Allopathic

medicine is that medical art which is practiced by medical doctors in the United States and

governed by the American Medical Association. I am neither skilled nor certified in this

form of medicine and only mention it to acquaint the reader with the term allopathic or

allopathy for reference throughout this document. Your normal doctor in the United States

practices allopathy or allopathic medicine.

As I said, Homeopathy seems to be close in some respects to allopathic medicine practiced

by every doctor in the United States. It only seems that there is a similarity between

homeopathy and allopathy; actually Homeopathy is not only a complete art of medicine but

is different in that it truly uses the energy and spirit of mankind and animal to heal and cure.

Furthermore, it is vastly different to allopathic medicine in that it allows the body to heal

itself with laws of illness and healing that reach back to the beginning of recorded history.

The first recorded use of homeopathic principles was from Hippocrates (the father ofmedicine and the Hippocratic Oath followed by allopathic doctors). Its basic tenants were

even discovered and written about in ancient India. Most of its foundation though was not

discovered until a German chemist and medical doctor tirelessly reconstructed the primary

rules of its use and built an entire homeopathic medical system within his lifetime. This man

was Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843).

Homeopathy is often confused with holistic medicine. Holistic medicine is treating the total

body of an individual. Homeopathy treats the body holistically, but it is applied in a specific

manner. So Homeopathy is holistic, but holistic medicine is not homeopathic. This is

because holistic medicine does not necessarily follow the strict rules of homeopathy.

Homeopathy began in about 1795 through the sheer genius of Samuel Hahnemann. His

genius is not really recognized today, but if you bother to study his writings it will become

immediately obvious. There are several reasons that homeopathic medicine is neither well

known nor practiced as widely as it once was in the United States. And one reason is NOT

that it is inferior to any known medical art such as allopathy. In many ways I believe

that homeopathy is far superior to allopathic medicine. I will only dwell on two points as to

why homeopathy is not among your choices of medicine today.

1. Homeopathy was once the smart choice of medicine for most of Europe and theUnited States. It flourished in the 1800s with over 20,000 doctors in the U.S.A,

but ran into some major stumbling blocks. The first stumbling block was more

from bad luck and timing. Hahnemann created levels of this medical system as hisunderstanding of its nature grew through tireless experimentation and amazing

intelligence. His final revision of this medical science came in the last ten years of

his life. He had perfected this medical art to a fine degree and wrote down his most

brilliant findings, only to die before they were published. These writings were

basically lost until the 1920s and by then the medical science of Homeopathy was

based upon his earlier and less refined research. Homeopathic doctors of the time

were driven out by the American Medical Association (AMA) due to a lack of its

understanding by the allopathic community. It wasnt that homeopathy even in

its early revisions didnt work or didnt work amazingly well it was just that

there was a considerable divide in patient treatment between homeopathy andallopathy. Also, there seemed to have been some ego involved in the decision by

the AMA to discredit Homeopathy. It was not until the 1950s/1960s that doctors

looked back at Hahnemanns last works and realized its new potential

(rediscovering it a full 100 years after his death). In the last thirty years,

homeopathy has been gaining some resurgence, but there is still a lack of drive to

read and learn the last works of Hahnemann (possibly from sheer laziness!)

2. The second reason that Homeopathy does not have a significant place at the

medical table is that it requires no special chemical medications thatpharmaceutical companies can develop, patent, and profit from. Adopting

Homeopathy would surely change western economies as it is based upon remedies

found in nature. It is also based on curingthe patient rather than easing symptoms

of illness and it takes more time in dealing with patients. Allopathic medicine

seems to be based almost entirely on easing symptoms (palliation) rather than

curing illness (much to the dismay of medical doctors) and most doctors are not

willing to spend more than ten minutes to diagnose an illness. It is just my opinion,

but when was the last time you, a family member, a friend or acquaintance was

cured by allopathic medicine? And I dont mean that they were cured as long as

they took their medicine or removed another organ! When was the last time theallopathic doctor spent more than ten minutes with you and took some interest in

how you really feel? That will change when you discover homeopathy.

Homeopathy and how it works

Now that you know why you arent practicing it yet, lets see why you should.

I adopted homeopathic practice some years ago because it filled my expectations for

medicine. I believed as a small child that the tools for our existence must be here at our feet

and free for the taking. This is just my interpretation for life. I watched throughout mylifetime as many relatives and friends slowly migrated to worse and worse illness, multiple

medications and lack of concern by the allopathic medical community. All of this was

during their significantly expensive treatment by allopathic doctors. Prices for medical help

began to skyrocket and no real advances were ever made in the ailments of these friends and

family members. Each seemed to keep their ailments in check with handfuls of pills, not

making progress, only existing. There had to be a better way. I originally thought that

maybe if I studied the past. Maybe the past before the 1960s, 1950s could show me where

we went wrong in healing. Halfheartedly and with no real expectation that there was another

way of medicine, I read and read. Purely by chance, I kept coming across bits and pieces

about homeopathy. A lot of the texts were from the 1800s and I thought that you cant beserious about medicine in the days of leeches and bleedings and the like. Well stunning as

this may seem that was the way the allopathic doctors treated the patients of the 1800s- not

the homeopathic doctors! The homeopathic doctors abhorred such treatment and spoke out

against it at every turn. The texts that I read sounded more like 1970 rather than 1870. They

spoke of the pills and concoctions that dominated allopathic medicine which kept the patient

going back for more, never curing illness. They spoke of the curse of having enough money

to be slowly medicated to further illness; that the poor were far easier to help because the

lack of standard medical attention they received made them far easier to heal. You can

understand my astonishment. It couldnt be more true to this day! Suffice it to say that Ibelieve there was no lack of common sense or intelligence of the 1800s as there is no lack

today; but, that there existed some great and competent minds that were not recognized.

After all, the foundation of current medicine was discovered by Louis Pasteur in the late

1880s. Knowing this, why couldnt I assume there was someone as smart as or smarter than

Pasteur? And why couldnt I assume they had figured out a better way to health? But my

optimism was not quite there yet.

I had always seen the homeopathic remedies in health food stores and had even tried a few to

no real affect. I was as surprised to find at the beginning of my search that the original

homeopathic texts contradicted the way that homeopathic medicine was currently used.Delving further, I found a small band of homeopathic doctors around the world that

challenged the newer methods and pointed back to the original texts. So I got the old texts.

In India there is a book publisher that publishes all the old texts, translated into English-

authors such as Hahnemann, Boenninghausen, Hering, etc. It wasnt long before I realized

homeopathys potential. But, it took many years of trial and error to find the proper use of

medicinal herbs and energy medicine to succeed faithfully for those that seek my help. This

is even with the knowledge of several generations of Curanderas/Curanderos in my family.

My contribution to my family heritage is homeopathy.

From this background, I was healing ailments in a fraction of the time it took before and with

no apparent side effects. I found the way it should be done from the man himself, Samuel

Hahnemann.

Here is what Hahnemann said

Vital Force

The Vital Force (VF) is a key component in explaining how homeopathy works. Vital Force

is the life force for an organism (human or animal). It is the energy that creates life within

the organism and each organism shows its own individuality within the VF. From the

Chinese, its closest description is Chi, but this does not do justice to the Vital Force as

envisioned by Hahnemann. His VF was alive and life itself.

The Vital Force (VF) according to Hahnemann cohesively binds the mind, body and spirit

and adds life to an organism. Without it, an organism would cease to function, grow and

reproduce. The VF not only gives the foundation for these functions, but maintains a

necessary balance of health (homeostasis) for the organism.

The Vital Force is also known as the Vital Energy. Within homeopathy many practitioners

view this form of medicine from a standpoint of energy. In its practice, Homeopathy uses the

energy of the VF to instill health in the individual as that is what the VF was meant to do.

Disease is created when the Vital Force is beaten down and unable to heal the body properly.

Homeopathy stimulates and brings the needed energy to the Vital Force. The VF is then able

to throw off the disease and heal the patient.

Pillars and Laws of Homeopathy

Homeopathy is built upon several laws or pillars (as follows)

Like Cures Like

The term Homeopathy originated from the joining of two Greek words meaning like

disease or words to that effect. By the nature of these very words, the term homeopathic can

be seen as the treatment of illness with a like or similar illness. Now it should be pointed out

here that the word like is ultimately important as are most terms when studying the basics

of Homeopathy. In other words, the term like should never be associated with the term

same or identical. So Homeopathy does not use the exact same disease to treat a disease,

but a similar disease or like disease. It may seem like splitting hairs to those new to the

ideas of Homeopathy, but it makes all the difference in what it is and how it works.

Hahnemann looked upon an illness as a characteristic set of symptoms. He went a step

further to recognize that no two similar diseases could coexist within an organism. Also, hestated that if two diseases were found to be active within an individual at the same time, they

must be dissimilar. The reasoning behind this comes from the law that like disease cures

like disease. Therefore, an organism (human or animal) could not have two like diseases

simultaneously. In fact, the stronger of the like diseases would overpower the lesser of the

like diseases. And therefore if two illnesses were found within the same individual, they

must be dissimilar.

The Patient and the Disease is Individual

A second pillar of Homeopathy is its approach to the organism the human or animalsubject or patient. Homeopathy sees the patient as a true individual. A specific ailment is

only specific to that patient and no other. So a flu or cold in one person, even though it may

look the same as a cold or flu in the next patient, is quite different because of the individual

person experiencing it. Each patient is treated with the remedy that most closely fits that

individual with those specific symptoms. This is a considerable change to allopathic

medicine that treats most ailments with identical remedies. In allopathic medicine, all colds

are relatively equivalent (the same) and in Homeopathy all colds are relatively individual

(different as expressed differently by the individual person). So, Bob with a runny nose and

cough is treated completely different than Sally with a runny nose and lack of cough. It isthis idea of treating the individual as a whole AND as an individual that leads to

Homeopathys comparison to holistic medicine mentioned earlier. As you can see, it is not

just the whole person treated, but the whole Joe or the whole Bob or the whole Jane; each

person showing differing and individualistic symptoms of their illness. Each person is

treated differently than the next as each has a differing set of problems from the next. Each

person makes up a differing set of problems through the energy or individuality that is unique

to them.

Law of Cure

A third pillar of Homeopathy is in its approach to cure. The law of cure that is mostly

credited to Constantine Hering (1800-1880) states that the cure of illness progresses from the

head downward, from the more important organ to the lesser important organ, from the

center outward and from the newest of ailments to the oldest (in layers). The importance of

this idea is to know when and by what degree an illness is being cured. A practiced

homeopath will follow symptoms through their course looking for these very signs to

determine when and if the illness is being cured. Convenient signs of cure may be a skin rash

and especially on the feet as this would include most of the law of cure top down (towards

the feet), toward a lesser organ (skin) and center out (to the outside of the body). This is also

known as Herings Law of Cure. Therefore the patient can expect cure to follow this course.

It should be stated here that illness will follow the exact opposite course if it is not treatedproperly. You may know of a patient treated by allopathic methods for some disease only to

find that now they have a problem with a more important organ (heart, kidney, liver, etc) or

that a disease of the nervous system or bone has been diagnosed. This is the opposite

direction of cure towards the inside of the body instead of the outside.

Action and Reaction

A fourth pillar to Homeopathy is borrowed from the idea of action/reaction. The idea is

learned by most school kids in that a particular action will trigger an equal and opposite

reaction. The homeopathic remedy through its strength (potency) as a primary actiontriggers the Vital Force to react in a secondary reactionwhich is called healing; the remedy

and through its primary action receives an equal and opposite reaction of healing from the

Vital Force. Another way to view this is that the energy actionof the remedy stimulates the

energy of the Vital Force to perform the reactionof healing. (See Remedy is the Energy

Key, below for further information).

One Disease One Remedy

The fifth pillar of Homeopathy is that each particular ailment has ONE remedy that mostclosely matches that ailment in its symptoms. Even in its infancy, Hahnemann experimented

with prescribing multiple remedies simultaneously and quickly abandoned this form of

medicine. He just couldnt be sure which remedy acted upon which symptom and this made

it too confusing. To this day if you meet a homeopath that prescribes more than one remedy

simultaneously, he is not following the sage advice of the father of Homeopathy and thus is

not treating homeopathically. Notice that this also contradicts allopathic medicine which

routinely prescribes multiple medicines at the same time.

The Minimal Dose

The minimal dose is the sixth pillar of Homeopathy. Hahnemann proved by careful

experimentation that a properly potentized (powerful) remedy should only be given in the

smallest possible dose to affect a cure. This theory is borne out by any good homeopath in

the practice of watching potentized remedies perform their action. It doesnt take long to

realize that homeopathic remedies are very powerful and need to be used with some care.

The idea of only giving the minimal dose is the foundation behind keeping this care

uppermost in mind. Patients are often amazed that such a small amount of homeopathic

medicine is needed to affect a considerable amount of healing.

Also be aware that such a small or minimal dose is very safe in its effect. Because

homeopathic remedies are natural, given in small quantity and work to stimulate the Vital

Force, they are much safer than pharmaceutical medicines. They cause no long term effects

unless incorrectly prescribed over a very long term (months or years) or flagrantly misused.

The Remedy is the Energy Key

Remember for a moment that like cures like. This is to say that a disease that is similar but

stronger to the disease of a given patient will cure that disease of the patient. So you have a

basic understanding that to treat an illness you need a similar illness that is stronger to

extinguish it. Hahnemanns greatest contribution to mankind was a discovery in how to

create that similar illness. He took crude substances such as poison ivy, table salt, honey

bees (yes, stinging bees!), coffee, tea, spearmint, etc and made medicines with them. Theway he did this (after many years of trial and error) was to take the substance, crush it,

pulverize it and then dilute it with alcohol or distilled water. Then he would take one drop of

that dilution and dilute it again. In between dilutions, he would shake the solution by

banging it against a springy type surface (like a thick book). This may sound like craziness,

but follow for a moment.

Hahnemann was a great reader, thinker and philosopher. He took ideas from many directions

and sources. It is obvious with his ideas of the Vital Force that he believed in things that

could not be seen, felt, but only experienced. This did not stand as a roadblock to hisdiscovery of potency or power in medications. And further, to his discovery of the energy

waiting to be exposed within every natural substance that he made into remedies. Consider

for a moment that the great force from an atomic bomb is the release of energy from an atom

(super small particle of matter). This is similar to the energy hidden in every substance and

the basis behind the remedies of homeopathy. There is no explosion of energy from a natural

substance like a bomb, but the procedure of dilution and potentizing releases the hidden

energy of that substance. The more it is diluted and potentized, the more energy is released.

Remember that Hahnemann knew (or supposed) from historical records that a similar disease

could cure another disease. But how would you go about making a similar disease? Hetook the substances of the earth for this. He took a substance, diluted it several times and

then ingested it by mouth. That substance would cause some strange symptoms; give

headaches, stomach aches, make his nose tingly, his knee hurt, or whatever. But he found a

most interesting thing at first. When he would dilute the same substance still more and shake

it by banging it on an elastic surface, it would cause the same symptoms as before, but

stronger! So he would dilute the substance and shake/bang it again and dilute, shake/bang it,

dilute, shake/bang and ingest it by mouth. The substance was becoming even stronger in the

symptoms it would cause stronger headache, stronger stomach ache, stronger whatever

symptom. This banging is called potentizing or raising its potency and the term for it in

Homeopathy is succussion or succussing.

It should be noted here that Hahnemann would start with one grain of lets say salt (common

table salt) and when he had diluted it several hundred times even modern chemistry would

not be able to find one molecule of the original salt in the dilution yet it was a strongerpotency!!! That is, it would cause the strange symptoms of that particular ingredient stronger

on each dilution. This is pure energy released from the original substance as we will see.

Hahnemann further found that each substance when diluted and ingested by mouth would

produce its own unique set of symptoms on a person. So salt would produce a headache on

the left side of the head, while spearmint may produce a headache on the right. This example

is not completely accurate but it gets the point across: each substance produces individual

and different symptoms from other substances when diluted, potentized (succussed), and

ingested.

Hahnemann didnt stop at testing these dilutions on himself. He enlisted hundreds of people,

relatively healthy people to take these dilutions by mouth. Then he would record the

symptoms that the dilutions created in these people (called provers). These test subjects

were proving the symptoms of the substance given to them. He found that most people

taking the exact same diluted substance (such as salt) had certain specific symptoms in

common or would experience the same symptoms. For instance, in taking table salt diluted

and shaken, diluted and shaken, some hundreds or thousands of times and given to these test

subjects their symptoms would consist of:

1. Patient is aggravated from being consoled2. Often has tears with laughter3. Numbness in fingers and lower extremities4. Is worse in morning or in warm rooms, in noisy environments5. Has ringing or roaring in the ears6. Often pain in the eyes when looking down7. EtcThere are dozens of other various symptoms (refer to a Materia Medica)

Note that the previous symptoms are created by the remedy Nat Mur or Natrum

Muriaticum. This remedy is made from one grain of normal table salt.

Strange as it may seem but common table salt when potentized creates these symptoms and

many more. This remedy will be used in the example that follows.

As Hahnemann diluted dozens of crude materials to make into remedies, he gave the

potentized remedies to groups of provers and made note of the symptoms that each remedy

created in these individuals. Symptoms were then catalogued for each crude remedy and

kept in a book called the Homeopathic Materia Medica. Now Hahnemann had his similar

diseases. Not obvious? Follow an example further

Hahnemann is approached by an ill patient who says he has pains in his eyes when looking

down, frequent numbness in his fingers and legs and a ringing in his ears that will not go

away (the same symptoms listed above). First, there is a check of the catalog of remedies

(Materia Medica) that cause these same symptoms; Hahnemann then reaches for the dilutionof some substance that has shown in his provers to produce the exact same symptoms

(Natrum Muriaticum- latin name for common table salt- potentized). The remedy has been

strengthened by succussion (banging and shaking) to make it strong and potent. This remedy

creates an artificial disease that is strengthened (potentized) to be greater and bigger than

the natural disease of the patient (yet it is a similar disease). He gives this remedy to the ill

patient providing or causing a similar disease of symptoms to extinguish the same

symptoms in the patient. The patient is cured by the law that like cures like. No two

similar diseases can coexist within an individual; the greater disease will squash the smaller

disease that is similar. One (the artificial disease created by the remedy- Nat Mur)

extinguishes the real disease in the patient because it is greater due to potentizing.

Further Explanation

Could it be this easy? Could the energy of a normal, earthly crude substance cure illness in

men?

In a word, YES. Is it quite this easy? Yes and No.

Our example is rather simplistic. When a patient comes to a homeopathic practitioner they

are subjected to a very thorough interview. Not only are they asked about their major

complaint or illness, but their entire history of illness is requested. The patients mental

symptoms, physical symptoms and spiritual symptoms are determined. The total picture of

the illness is analyzed in this way and it may take several hours. The homeopathic

practitioner then sets out to find the ONE remedy out of hundreds available that fits this

symptom picture. The remedy that is closest in the symptoms it will create in a healthy

person that fit the symptoms of the patient. The remedy is only really the energy of the

ingredient it is made from. This energy not only creates an artificial disease that mimics the

symptoms as closely as possible to the real disease of the patient, but because of its potency(power) it stimulates the Vital force of the patient to heal the disease. Because of the law that

a like illness cures a like illness, the disease is squashed by the remedy and the potency of the

remedy; the potent energy of the remedy fits the Vital Force to affect a cure. I view this

process like the remedy is a vibratory key that fits the lock of the Vital Force

unlocking the energy of the Vital Force to heal and cure.

Caveats

Homeopathy as a medical art takes years of practice and most importantly must be learned

from the words of the original practitioners. The remedies are fairly inexpensive and must be

treated with respect. When the correct remedy is found for an illness, it is capable of curing

the ailment. If an incorrect remedy is taken, it can cause some problems but not in the way

that allopathic medicines do. A homeopathic remedy must be taken for a considerable periodof time to become a problem. This last situation is very rare, but possible and so it is not

advised that a patient just take anyremedy for a long period of time. In fact, taking a whole

bottle of a particular remedy most times will cause NO reaction to the patient whatsoever.

The remedy has to be the one that is closest to the patients illness first of all. And second, it

has to be taken for a considerable amount of time (months or years) before it can become a

problem. This is very unlikely.

If you are stimulated and excited enough to test homeopathy, please keep in mind that the

remedies available in your local health store probably have incorrect directions for their use

printed on the label. They are also mislabeled as to the ailment for which each is intended.Therefore, they will probably have little to no affect on your illness. Also, Hahnemann did

not normally use the small pills you will find in a homeopathic remedy tube dry. He had

specific ways of using the remedies in water by mouth, on the skin, or even by smell

(olfaction). Please be responsible and study this subject first before experimenting. Better

still, find a homeopathic practitioner and make sure that they follow the original texts of

Homeopathy before you trust them.

Experiences

Anyone that has patiently learned homeopathic medicine has seen miracle cures from time to

time. It is not the norm to cure someone with a chronic ailment overnight (far from it). But,

it has happened. In acute illness such as flu, colds, headaches, toothaches and the like, it is

common to correct the illness or cure these conditions within minutes or hours. Does this

always happen? No. But it happens far more often than not. And chronic illness such as

asthma, psoriasis, irritable bowel, rheumatism and the like may take just weeks or months to

correct and cure; providing that the patients disease has not been further complicated by

allopathic treatment. Homeopathys greatest strength in chronic cases is that it almost

immediately gives the patient a feeling of well-being that is hard to describe. Remember that

the remedy is meant to treat the entire patient (mind, body and spirit) and not just the majorsymptoms. Mental acuity and an uplifted spirit are usually the first benefits of a well

prescribed remedy.

In the case of illness that has progressed for many years or has been consistently suppressed

by the normal treatments in allopathic medicines, homeopathy may only alleviate the

symptoms and be unable to actually and completely cure the ailment. But, its use as a

palliative (not curing, but giving the patient relief of the symptoms) remedy is far superior to

allopathic drugs. There are no side effects to the remedies and no repercussions if you

discontinue use or use them for years.

Homeopathy has cured illness that allopathic doctors have thought were incurable. It doesnt

stop with physical illness either. Homeopathy can cure mental ailments as well. A study of

two hundred years of cases and the homeopathic doctors that treated these cases will show

cures of some of the most difficult illness known to man. Dont take my word for it read!Many old texts on Homeopathy are now available for free on the internet. Simply search and

you will find that Google has scanned these texts and they are available for download as an

Adobe Acrobat document (pdf). Try books.google.com and search for Hahnemann,

Boenninghausen, H. A. Roberts, Margaret Tyler and Hering. There are thousands of

homeopathic doctors that have written texts and articles through the years. In fact, India has

over 500,000 homeopathic doctors practicing today and many countries in Europe send

almost half of their patients to homeopathic doctors for healing.

The Only Hitch

If there is only one hitch to homeopathy, it is that you must learn the original methods. DO

NOT TAKE THE WORD FROM CURRENT BOOKS OR HOMEOPATHIC

PRACTITIONERS AS TO HOW IT IS DONE. Sure there are a few good current books and

a few good practitioners, but there are more that are just plain wrong. Go back to the original

source and you will find the correct method for applying homeopathic treatment. Follow the

pillars and laws as to how it is correctly applied and you will find a complete medical art

worth learning and practicing. You will find a path that will certainly change your life.

My Take

What attracted me most initially about homeopathy is that it truly connects with nature. The

spiritual energy that I have come to understand about life and Curanderismo is reflected in

the way the homeopathic remedies work. Technically speaking, the remedies should have no

affect whatsoever on a patient. They simply have no quantity of the original crude material

they are made from when they have been diluted so much. On top of that, their intended use

is in affecting the Vital Force or Spirit of the individual. The remedy is intended to stimulate

and help a force of nature that I can neither prove exists nor disprove. Even with these

inconsistent obstacles, when applied properly, homeopathy is a wonder to behold.

Q: Does Homeopathy remedies have side effects?

A: No, the remedies used have no side effects like normal pharmaceutical or prescription

drugs. They do on occasion intensify the ailment that they are given for. This is called

aggravation and it is usually quick and always temporary. For this reason, the remedies are

given when the patient has a day or two to rest, such as on a weekend. The aggravation is

normally only seen at the beginning of treatment and doesnt occur again.

Q: Can you describe what it is like to go to a homeopath?

A: Yes, absolutely. A homeopath usually gives a questionnaire to the patient before they are

seen. This questionnaire is quite lengthy and asks all sorts of questions to get acquainted

with the ailment and symptoms that the patient is experiencing. The homeopath needs to

learn the most about how the ailment came about and how it progressed. Then the patient

meets face to face with the homeopath for a more in depth questioning. Most patients are

quite surprised that the homeopath listens to their every worry and symptom for as long as it

may take. This questioning normally takes anywhere from one to two hours. The patient

may be given a remedy at that time or within the next few days.

Q: What is a remedy like?

A: Each remedy is usually given in some water. So it tastes like water because it is just the

energy from the remedy dispersed in water. Usually there is no initial effect, but within a

few hours to a day the patient will start feeling better. When the remedy is truly the proper

fit to the patient, they may even feel better than they have in years and years. Often the mind

will clear and thoughts will be quick and active. The patient will at times require more sleep

as the remedy will be actively promoting healing and this requires the sleep cycle. There are

no other effects like a patient feels on standard allopathic drugs and there is no interaction to

other prescriptions the patient may be taking. The remedy is completely safe when appliedproperly and goes away on its own. Then the patient will take another dose which may last

for several days more.

Q: Why doesnt the AMA and medical doctors recognize and use homeopathy?

A: That is a difficult question to answer. Allopathic medicine has progressed in a totally

opposite direction to homeopathy and to recognize it would be to admit some faults in the

logic of allopathic medicine. Allopathic medicine treats with opposites while homeopathy

treats with similars. This fundamental difference would create a tremendous problem for

regular medicine in the United States. Patients would most likely question allopathic

medicine and this would lead to losses in revenue for doctors. Europe, Asia and parts ofSouth America use homeopathy and blend it with allopathic medicine quite well. They also

dont have the law suit abuse that plagues this country. Homeopaths and their followers will

eventually prevail as their approach is understood better. Until then, it will take one patient

at a time to overcome the problems of allopathic medicine today.

Q: Does homeopathy actually heal the patient?

A: Yes, I have personally witnessed numerous cases where homeopathy healed an ailment

that allopathic medicine and numerous drugs could not. In fact, I have witnessed cases that

healed so quickly it was astounding. Of course this is not always the case, but when it

happens, it is remarkable. Homeopathy cannot heal a severe wound or effect emergency

surgery such as that required in a serious accident. Hahnemann from the beginning said that

emergency care from allopathic medicine should be used when necessary. Hahnemannpraised the correct use of allopathic medicine but felt that it was the exception and not the

rule. The biggest problem faced by homeopaths today is the intensified illness created by

allopathic medicine and the drugs they use. When a patient has been exposed to numerous

surgeries and drugs over many years, it is often difficult and sometimes impossible to heal

their illness.

Q: Can you get addicted to a homeopathic remedy?

A: No, there is no known case of someone becoming addicted to a homeopathic remedy.

Although, it may be possible to believe you need to take a remedy and become

psychologically addicted... but that could happen with anything, like my addiction to peanutbutter.

Q: How does homeopathy fit into Curanderismo?

A: Homeopathy works identically to the ways of Curanderismo. That is, it works on the

spirit and the energy of life. I can clean the spirit of a man or the place in which he lives.

Homeopathy uses the same energies to stimulate the life force to heal itself; the same energy

I use to clean it.

Q: Can homeopathy help me lose weight?A: Yes, homeopathy does help to lose weight. Often weight gain is a function or rather

malfunction of the individual to maintain a reasonable body weight. Of course lifestyle,

exercise and nutrition play an important role, but the body must be healthy first and foremost.

Homeopathy used properly will regain this health and weight loss will be a secondary result.

Q: Can homeopathy help with Lupus, Arthritis, Asthma, Diabetes, High Blood

Pressure or ___________________ (fill in the blank)?

A: Homeopathy can help with any known illness and the rest that are not yet known. As

said before, it is partially dependent upon catching illness as soon as possible and treating

illness that has not been complicated by allopathic suppressive medicines and procedures.The past case history of hundreds and thousands of homeopathic practitioners proves cures of

many ailments that are now thought to be incurable. There are even current books that have

cases of autism treated successfully by homeopathy and doctors that have treated genetic

illnesses that were thought to be untreatable. One can only try a homeopathic treatment and

if unsuccessful there is nothing lost. In fact, there is really no downside except the time spent

on a homeopathic treatment. Just make sure to seek out a good practitioner that follows the

healing for every year of illness. This is probably optimistic but may hold true when the

individual is treated properly and follows the guidelines of homeopathy.

Q: Where can I find more information?

A: There are many books on homeopathy. The best are from the creator Hahnemann and his

disciples written in the 1800s and available for pdf (Adobe Acrobat) download at

books.google.com or by internet store at minimum.com. Current books are hit or miss.Some books are fine while others are misleading or completely incorrect. We are offering a

course at some point in the future that will list some excellent books for further study. In the

mean time, please refer to the bible of homeopathy in Further Reading below. It is a good

book with direct instructions, but it is very dry reading.
