A Cub Scout is the worldwide Scouting movement for young persons, mainly boys aged about 7 to 11.Scouts take part in a Balanced Program-me that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and helps develop their creative talents.

WHAT IS CUB SCOUTS?

A Cub Scout is the worldwide Scouting for young persons, mainly boys aged about 7

to 11.

Members working under CUB SCOUT PACK-

The chartered organization representative is the direct contact between the pack and the chartered organization. This individual is also

the organization’s contact with the district committee and the local council.

REPRESENTATIVE CHARTERED ORGANIZATION

The pack committee allows the Cub master, den leaders, and their assistants to focus on

working directly with the Cub Scouts.

PACK COMMITTEE

Everything that the Cub master does is aimed at helping the individual

boy.

CUB MASTER

The Cub master has a big role. Having assistant Cub masters allows him or her to share responsibilities.

•Qualifications: Is at least 21 years old, subscribes to the Declaration of Religious Principle, and agrees to abide by the Scout Oath or Promise and the Scout Law.

• Responsibilities: Conduct a pack program

• Plan and help carry out the Cub Scout program in the pack

• Help organize Weblog dens and encourage graduation into a Boy Scout troop.

ASSITANT CUBMASTER

CUB SCOUT DEN LEADERSThe chartered organization representative is the direct contact between the pack and the chartered organization. This individual is also the organization’s contact with the district committee and the local council.

Qualifications: Is at least 21 years old, is a member of the chartered organization, and is not the unit leader or assistant unit leader.

Responsibilities: Help select the right leadership for the unit.Serve as a liaison between the units and the organization.

Scouting is available for children and young adults aged between six and twenty five.

Beaver Scouts 6 - 8 year olds Cub Scouts 8 -10 ½ year olds Scouts 10 ½ - 14 year olds Explorer Scouts 14 -18 year olds Network 18 - 25 year olds

WHO CAN JOIN

Go to the website. Click the 'Cub Scouts' tab. Enter your zip code and click the arrow button. Click on a Pack near you to see its contact info so you can call the Pack or your local Council about joining. Complete a Application and Health Record and give them to

the Cub master of the Pack you choose.
