Short course annotation in English (up to 500 characters) During lectures conceptual aspects of arts in the society are analysed that reveal ontological (along with semiotic, phenomenological, and morphological aspects of art world) structural elements of spatial, temporal and spatio-temporal, static and dynamic, material and ideal and other spheres of arts ontology, which enable students to more efficiently employ known and to create new formations of artistic activities linking them with principles of cultural education. The module is based on principles of systemic thinking. Relevance of the course The course of Ontology of Art and Education is instrumental to gain the competences of litteracy in some important aspects of philosophy of art, cherish cultural attitude towards art science, reflect personal art critic competence as well as apply the results of philosophy of art knowledge and abilities in the personal creational practice. Course aims To familiarise students with principles of ontology, morphology and semiotics of art which determine the variety of artistic activity, serve as basis for possibilities of syncretic, autonomous and synthetic forms of art, foresee trends in artistic activity that are based on digital technologies, presuppose possibilities to increase in competence of cultural consciousness, prepare for theoretical and methodological practical work applying principles of artistic education for socialisation of individuals with various cultural needs. Content (topics) and methods Topic I. The ontological and semiotical principles of artistic activity. The space, time and spatio-temporial peculiarities of art are analysed in this topic. The changes in relations of figurative and nonfigurative arts in the development of culture are discussed. Topic II. The forms of artistic activity in the interface of material and spiritual cultural worlds. Trends of spiritualization of material world in the development of culture are analyzed in this topic. Some distinguishing features in the shift from nonartistic to artistic activity (transitional artistic activity) are discussed in the topic. Topic III. The shift of the limits of different kinds of artistic activity in the context of culture. The influence of sound signals, natural language, gestures, mimesis, and sports in the development of artistic languages is analyzed. The role and place of the words in the cultural and artistic activity as well as the impact of the development of technique and technologies to forms of art being are discussed. Topic IV. Changes in artistic criteria. The aspects of evaluation of artistry and quality of different artworks and artistic activity are analysed in this topic. The authors who investigated criteria of artistry and interpretation of artworks (B. Reimer, M. Parsons, A. Danto a.o.) are introduced. Topic V. Interdependence between aesthetic enivironment and artistic activity. The problem of interaction among artlike, bifunctional art and absolute art phenomena is analized. Topic VI. The changing attitudes of arts education theories in the context of culture. Main differences between theories of formalism (E.Hanslick a.o.) and expressionism (L.Tolstoy a.o.), which appeared in history

  • according to a viewpoint on art nature, are analized. Theories formed according to the impact of art on the individual as well as based on constitutional (F. Schiller a.o.) and revelation (R. Smith a.o.) possibilities of art are discussed also. Topic VII. Artistic activity and multiroled model of art educator. The role of explorer, manager, cultural worker and subject didactics competencies in modern/postmodern cultural life is discussed. Nagrinti mokslo ir filosofijos santyk ontologiniu, epistemologiniu, metodologiniu ir aksiologiniu poiriais. Aikinamos iuolaikins mokslo filosofijos temos sietinos su svarbiausiomis XX-XXI a. mokslo filosofijos mokyklomis bei diskusija. Kursas pltoja istorin (paradigm kaitos), kritins teorijos, negatyviosios dialektikos, hermeneutin, fenomenologin, analitin, postmodern, poststruktralizmo ir kitus poirius mokslo ir filosofijos sveikas. Short course annotation in English (up to 500 characters) The course will philosophically and critically interpret development of ideas of science from process, events and conditions of diversity point of view. Contemporary questions on epistemology, ontology, methodology, and axiology in the context of cases will be considered. Topics of contemporary philosophy of science, the most important schools of philosophy of XX-XXI centuries and contemporary discussion are considered. The course develops historical (changes of paradigms), critical theory, negative dialectics, hermeneutics, phenomenological, analytical, postmodern and other approaches to the interrelations of philosophy and science. The course explains sense and significance of philosophical research for the development of dissertation project. Teaching methods: lectures, seminars, individual work. Relevance of the course The course helps to develop meta-theoretical ideas about research project, to understand interrelationships between concrete methods of research, general methodology and fundamental epistemological questions. Learning of different paradigms of sciences induces critical choosing of methods of research and analysis. Course aims The aim of the course is philosophically and critically to interpret development of concept of science, and to consider process, events and conditions of diversity of science from epistemology, ontology, methodology, and axiology points of view.
