ABSTRACT

Lately, the advance of technology growing very rapidly and we can’t deny, it makes people easier to doing their task. So far, people can control the electrical equipment on their house by using frequency, infrared and also Bluetooth. But that control system has lack, the lack is if the distance beyond the limits, the controller won’t work as we expected and people can’t control their electrical equipment when they’re far away from their home. By that situation, we occur to make a controller system by using the internet. As we all know, internet is a network that everyone can accessed it no matter how far they are.

The purpose of this research is using internet network as the part of remote system control and also learn about how to connect the system with internet network. We need a computer as a server and relay driver circuit for make a remote system control. The system will control the electrical equipment. The relay driver is made by electronics component such as resistors, transistors and also relays. For programming, we use two programming language, C++ and PHP. PHP language using on the server to create dynamic web, where the client can send data to server. While the C++ language used for controlling I/O device on the server. In this research, the controlled I/O is parallel port.

The research was implemented by making remote system control based on web modeling test using a miniature house. There are several stages on testing, software and hardware testing stage, then software and hardware testing stage on miniature house with the electrical equipment on it.

The results is that the remote system control electrical equipment based on web has been successful created.
