Come People of the Risen King

Come People of the Risen King

Who delight to bring Him praise

Come all, and tune your hearts to sing

To the Morning Star of grace.

From the shifting shadows of the earth

We will lift our eyes to HimWhere steady arms of mercy

reachTo gather children in.

Rejoice!! Rejoice!!Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice,

Oh, Church of Christ,Rejoice!!

Come, those whose joy is morning sun,

And those weeping through the night.

Come, those who tell of battles won,

And those struggling in the fight.

For His perfect love will never change,

And His mercies never cease,

But follow us through all our days

With the certain hope of peace.

Rejoice!! Rejoice!!Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice,

Oh, Church of Christ,Rejoice!!

Come, young and old from every land,

Men and women of the faith.Come, those with full or

empty hands,Find the riches of His grace.

Over all the world His people sing;

Shore to shore we hear them call

The truth that cries through every age:

“Our God is all in all.”

Rejoice!! Rejoice!!Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice,

Oh, Church of Christ,Rejoice!!

v. 37  THE POWER OF THE STORM

Its Suddenness there arose a great storm of wind

The sea can be calm one minute and violent the next.

We will all face storms in life.

In fact, you are in one of 3 places today.

You are either in a storm, just coming out of a storm, or headed into a storm.

v. 37  THE POWER OF THE STORM

Its Suddenness Its Severity

the ship was now full The storms of life include: storms of

suffering; storms of sorrow; storms of sin

There is no storm on earth that Heaven cannot calm!

v. 37  THE POWER OF THE STORM

Its Suddenness  Its Severity

Its Source  It could have been satanic in

origin “be still” “hold thy peace” “to

be muzzled”He used it to command demons

to be quiet!

The storms in our own lives can come from various sources too.

Sometimes the storms are our own fault.

Sometimes God sends the storms.

Sometimes Satan is allowed to send the storm.

v. 38 THE PROBLEM OF THE STORM

They Doubted His Goodness  carest thou not

They Doubted His Grace  we perish

The word “leave” means “to let sink” The word “forsake” means that He

won’t “abandon you, desert you or leave you under any circumstances”.

When the storm is raging….He will not let you sink!

The Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely committed to you!

v. 38 THE PROBLEM OF THE STORM

They Doubted His Goodness  carest thou not

They Doubted His Grace  we perish

They Doubted His Guarantee  Let us pass over unto the other side He is absolutely committed to you

and will never forsake you

HE IS THE STILLER OF STORMS

Regardless Of Their Source Regardless Of Their Force Regardless Of Their Course
