ARE YOU HUNGRY OR THIRSTY? If you have ever been on a diet or if you have fasted, you know the feeling of being hungry. Reducing our consumption of food leaves us with hunger pangs that are hard to ignore. Of course, this type of hunger pales in comparison with those who truly lack the nourish-ment they need. Once we become attuned to our great longing for God, we grow in trust that Jesus is the bread of life who fills us with God’s goodness. DECIMOCTAVO DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO 5 DE AGOSTO DE 2018

¿TIENES HAMBRE O SED? Si alguna vez te has puesto a dieta o has ayunado, sabes cómo se siente tener hambre.

—Copyright © J. S. Paluch

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

Everyone:

Today I am in Astorga, Spain, beginning my hike on the Camino de Santiago, also called The Way of Saint James – a pilgrimage route that ends at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. My youngest son, Tom, is accompanying me and, thankfully, his Spanish is better than mine.

From the Pilgrim’s Guide: “May your journey along your chosen path be blessed – rough or smooth, long or short – whichever route you take, know that you are loved and your destination is assured.”

Thank you,

Marty Soth, Grand Knight

THANK YOU, KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS!

Our parish is very fortunate to have great groups of parishioners that are

always helping in one way or another. The Knights of Columbus are one of these groups. We are very thankful for their recent donation of $2000 that

will be applied to the Improvement Fund. Thank you Knights, for all the support you provide to our parish!

—Copyright © J.
