Dr.Fixit system for different areas of structures is as follows:

    1. Ground bearing slab / Intermediate slab2. Ramps

    3. Coving / skirting

    4. Marking

    1. Ground Bearing Slab / Intermediate slab

    Surface Preparation

The long term durability of Dr.Fixit system is dependent upon the adhesive bond achieved

between the flooring material and substrate. It is most important that the concrete substrateis correctly prepared prior to application.

The concrete substrate should be free from contamination such as mortar, paint splashes, oil, grease etc. Excessive laitance should be removed by light mechanical grinding followedby vacuum cleaning.

Existing epoxy coating must be removed manually. Wherever the bonding of epoxy is

intact, removal of existing coating, if required, must be done by scarification process.

The surface must be prepared by shot blasting or mechanical grinding, connected with a

dust collector to minimize dust generation.

Substrates should be dry or if damp there should be no visible or standing water.

    System

    Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy MI EP( Primer)- 1st coat + Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy MI EP(Primer) 2nd

coat + Fine Quartz (Broadcast) + Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy EC SF (2 coats)

    Application Methodology

Primer (1st coat)Prime the surface with a neat binder Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy MI EP Primer (Moisture InsensitiveEpoxy Primer) containing Comp. A & Comp B mixed thoroughly with a mechanical mixer to get ahomogeneous consistency mix. After application of primer, wait for minimum 30-60 minutes for theprimer to become tacky.

Primer (2nd coat) & Broadcast quartz

Prime the surface with a neat binder Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy MI EPPrimer (MoistureInsensitive Epoxy Primer) containing Comp. A & Comp B mixed thoroughly with a

mechanical mixer to get a homogeneous consistency mix. After application of primer, immediately broadcast sand evenly on the freshly laid scratch coat. Allow it to drycompletely.

Transfer part A in a suitable clean container, add part B to it and stir with a low speed electrical drillwithattached paddle stirrer at 250 300 rpm for 3 - 5 minutes to a homogeneous & uniform colourmix.

Application Apply the mix material by brush or roller on to the primed surface.

Intercoat application time is 8 to 10 hours. If earlier coat has cured for longer duration,

roughen the surface by sanding & then subsequent second coat should be applied.

Finished coating should be protected and allowed to cure for 7 days.

Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy MI EP( Primer) + Dr.Fixit PidiPU Wearing Layer + Fine Quartz(Broadcast) + Dr.Fixit Pidipi TC (Sealer coat PU Top coat)

    Application Methodology

PrimerPrime the surface with a neat binder Dr.Fixit Pidipoxy EPPrimer, containing Comp. A & Comp Bmixed thoroughly with a mechanical mixer to get a homogeneous consistency mix. After applicationof primer, wait for minimum 30-60 minutes for the primer to become tacky.

    Wearing layer and Broadcast quartz

Mix Part A & Part B in their individual containers to uniform consistency & appearance.

Transfer Part A & Part B into a clean & dry mixing vessel.

Mix together using a slow speed (400 rpm) drill with a spiral mixing head to a

    homogeneous & uniform mix.

Start addition of Part C, filler component gradually under continuous mixing by increasing

speed of the drill to a homogeneous & even mix.

Mix the material for atleast 5 minutes to a uniform colour shade.

Pour the mixed material on to the primed or crack bridging layer applied floor surface &

spread at required coverage rate to get the desired DFT by trowel. Move spiked roller overthe coated surface to remove entrapped air.

After overnight curing / 16 hrs curing of Dr. Fixit PIDIPU WL coating apply one or twocoats Dr. Fixit PIDIPU Top Coat

Immediately broadcast sand evenly on the freshly laid scratch coat. Allow it to drycompletely.

Note: Broadcasting of quartz is completely depended upon the texture /roughness required at site which shall be decided after the site trials.

Sealer coat with Dr.Fixit PidiPU TC

Remove the excess quartz particles from the surface. Seal the broadcastedsurface with sealercoat Dr.Fixit Pidipu TC

Application of Top Coat Dr.Fixit PidiPU TCMixing

Mix Part A & Part B in their individual containers to uniform consistency & appearance.

Transfer Part B, Hardener component to Part A, base component container completely.

Mix together using a slow speed (150 200 rpm) drill with a paddle or cowl disc mixing

head to a homogeneous & uniform mix.

Scrape the sides & bottom of the mixing container during mixing.

Sieve the mixed material through fine muslin or bolting nylon cloth.

Application Pour the mixed & sieved material at required coverage rate to get the desired DFT by using

best quality paint brush or spray or roller.

Apply second coat at right angle to the first coat.

Allow it to cure for minimum 16 hours for foot traffic & 48 hours for capable of bearingloads.
