Developmentofaninvitrotestingplatformtostudymulticellularinteraction
Research emphasis:
Dr.Mora’sinterestscenteronexploringinnovativeplatformstofurtherunderstandthedynamicsofcellularcross-talkinginvolvedinthewoundhealingprocess.Ourresearchfocusesonthreemaincomponents:cellularengineering,invitrotestingplatforms,andbiomaterialimprovements.ThecellularengineeringcomponentinvolvestheuseofCRISPR/Cas9asgeneeditingtooltogeneratecellreporterlines.Invitrotestingplatformsarecenteredonthedevelopmentofanadequateopticalmicrodevice tomonitorthecellreporterlines.Lastly,biomaterialimprovementsareproposedandtestedbasedontheenhancementoftheantimicrobialproperties.
