Welcome to Camelot As we are a newly opened arts venue we have decided to celebrate the truly wonderful people that have come from Hampshire in a cultural festival. We are a multi arts venue that will hopefully open your eyes when it comes to culture looking at it through theatre, music, dance and much more. Our festival is a month long, and once it is done we will be looking at other people and places with significant culture that can be shown through art forms, such as Southampton and the Titanic and Mary Shelly with her well known novel Frankenstein.

Our festival will be home to themed weeks such as a King Arthur Week (pages 6-10) and a Jane Austen Week (pages 18-22). The rest of the days will be home to a range of art forms, some being amateur for example the local comedy night where you can get involved (page 12) and some more professional and well known acts such as Razorlight (page 15).

We also have opportunities for you to get involved within our venue, such as workshops during half term (pages 23-27), opportunities for young budding artists to show their work off in our gallery/foyer area. For more information go to page 28 or look at our website and volunteer/work placements

Our Vision,Mission and ValuesVision:Camelot is to be a cultural and interactive venue. Celebrating the culture of Hampshire in our first 3 weeks and then slowly moving away from that throughout the following weeks, months and years. This venue will continue to be more cultural than others in the surrounding areas by having themed weeks and performances know matter how big or small the artist.

Mission:To provide a new service to Winchester that celebrates different culture through different art forms in a commercial way to provide for the City of Winchester.

Values:Camelot wants to show the city of Winchester that culture can be fun and interactive. We want everyone to leave thinking they have experienced something new or seen something old in a new light. We want to do this by showing different art forms like dance, drama, film and much more. We promise to treat all our performers, staff and customers the same way, whether or not they know lots about what we are showing or it is their first time seeing it.

Titanic Weekend King Alfred Week

The Titanic had such as big impact of our culture as we are so close to Southampton so this year we will be showing the different documentry, films and other art forms that have helped us remember what happened on the 15th April 1912.

Seeing as we are in Winchetser we can’t not look at the history and culture behind King Alfred and everything he did. This will be an exciting week as it is so close to home for us all.
