Cal-Ore Life Flight and REACH Air Medical Services Expand Air Ambulance Service in Siskiyou County Cal-Ore Life Flight and REACH Air Medical Services are excited to announce the expanded operation of an emergency medical aircraft in Siskiyou County. The company has taken a multi-year lease for a hangar and crew quarters at the Weed Airport. Cal-Ore will provide emergent airplane service for two to three days per week, with a REACH helicopter providing back-up service as needed. This service will benefit customers in Siskiyou County and the entire region. Joe Gregorio, Director of Service Delivery for Cal-Ore, notes “While we have been serving the region for years, this is a great opportunity for the people of Siskiyou County to have access to increased emergency medical transport services. Weather depending, we can fly patients from the airport in Weed to hospitals throughout Northern California and beyond. And we have the back-up resource of REACH providing service as well.” With a Cal-Ore Life Flight membership, customers are covered for out-of-pocket expenses if they are flown by Cal-Ore or REACH. What’s more, Cal-Ore has a reciprocal arrangement with Mt. Shasta Ambulance. If Mt. Shasta Ambulance delivers a patient from the hospital to a Cal-Ore aircraft, or from a Cal-Ore aircraft to the hospital, this is also covered by membership.
