Life A lthough Bruce Lee passed away 40 years ago, the legend of his life, intertwined with his confidence and charisma as well as a personal background that mar- ried East and West, makes his spirit live on. In collaboration with the Bruce Lee Foundation of the United States, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum(HKHM) has gathered more than 600 items of his memorabilia from local and overseas collectors to create the five-year “Bruce Lee: Kung Fu . Art . Life” exhibition, which depicts him not only as a film star and martial artist, but also as a cultural phenomenon from a more comprehensive perspective, thus allowing the visitors to have a fresh view of his short yet fruitful life. Occupying a total area of 850 square metres, the exhibition, held from now until 20 July 2018, features more than 600 precious relics related to Bruce Lee including his memorabilia, costumes, books and gym equipment as well as his articles. The exhibition gallery also houses several sets of reconstruc- tions, created with ideas inspired by prominent scenes in his five classic kung fu movies as well as his gym and study. Apart from a 3D holo- graphic animation and a newly created 3.5-metre-high statue of Bruce Lee, the 75-minute documentary, The Brilliant Life of Bruce Lee, which captures many precious film clips and interviews with people closely associated with him, is also not to be missed.
