Sharon D. Oetting, from Concordia, Mo, has co-owned and managed Oetting Hog Farms since 1981. The 650 acre farm produces corn, soybeans, and markets nearly 2,400 hogs annually. She was named Farm Journal’s Spokesperson of the Year and received the Missouri Master Farmer’s Award. In 2009, her farm received the National Pork Board’s Environmental Stewardship Award. Oetting has also served on St. Paul’s Lutheran School Board and the Lafayette County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Committee. In 2009, Oetting was appointed by the Obama Administration to serve on the Missouri FSA State Committee.

Chris Chinn resides on her family’s hog farm near Clarence, Missouri with her family. Chris manages the production and financial records for the family’s 1,500 sow farrow-to-finish hog operation, as well as the family feed mill. She and her husband also have a small cow-calf herd, as well as 140 acres of alfalfa hay. Chris is active in Farm Bureau and has served in leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels. Chris is a member of the Missouri Pork Association, as well as the Shelby County Pork Producers. Chris also served on EPA’s Farm, Ranch and Rural Community Advisory Committee.
