The Law Regarding the
Hydrographic Activity
HYDROGRAPHIC INSTITUTE OF THEREPUBLIC OF CROATIA (HHI) shall
carry out the
following hydrographic activities:Hydrographic survey of the
sea, marine geodesy,geodetic and other surveys of objects in the
coastal area,sea, seabed and submarine area, geology and
geophysicsof the sea, oceanography and protection of theenvironment
in the part important for hydrography andhydrographic-navigational
safety, research and other
jobs in connection with the carrying out of theseactivities,
established by this Law.

Organization of HHI
HHI is divided into 7
departments (operating units):Nautical Department,Hydrographic
Department,Cartographic Department,Oceanographic
Department,Reproduction Department,IT Department,
along with two class survey vesels:
HIDRA &PALAGRUA.
